Hi all, I’m thinking about driving from Maryland to Maine with my KTM dual sport on a hitch carrier. I’ve never done this with the lightning: what efficiency can I expect on the highway at 65-70?

Anyone have experience with this setup?

Range will be between 1.2 and 2.7 mi/kWh. Depends on weather, winds, your driving habits, and color of motorcycle. Well maybe not that last one.

How much does the bike and carrier weigh? I would think you're getting close to the limit of the hitch.
About 425 pounds. Depends on how much fuel I have in. But shouldn’t be over 425.
