The instrument cluster also turns WARNING ORANGE, that's clue enough the you're in the reserve risk zone, how far you want to take a risk driving further down to 0% is the drivers call.

Don't do it. Went to 2 and it dropped to 0 and stopped on me.

Did you Fast charge?

I have definitely flirted with 3-5% a few times. These stories make me a bit more hesitant. If I'm at 4%(~10 miles) and traveling at a reasonable speed and not towing it's a bit frustrating that this can happen.

I know it's driver's risk tolerance, but it's not like DCFC are every 15 miles. Sometimes this decision means an extra 20 minutes or so to a trip.

I'd spend the 15 minutes. It's way less time than running out, way less stress, and way better for your HVB. Keep it out of single digits.

There is no reason you shouldn‘t be able to arrive to a charger at 2%
Can you? Sure. Should you go that low? No. Just not smart. Too many variables.
