That’s a worry of mine as well but as far as I have heard for other ford vehicles (Bronco, etc), ford issues a new expiration date.

Your best bet is to go to the dealer and ask them to look up your account in SMART VINcent. This is where the info is.

watch this video. This is a good starting point but the rest of the video is beneficial. This clip talks about price protection (when MSRPs change after ordering) and private offers (an offer from ford directly to the customer which they supposedly hand out here and there based on your history ?):

Thanks. I have seen this. It has very helpful information. I am not convinced about that his understanding of expiration date is correct however I am hoping what you say about it's extension is. It would be mighty shady if Ford gets you to order the vehicle with that promise, deliver the vehicle after their own expiration date and pocket the $7K.

I am fairly sure, If I get the dealer to pull up SMART VINcent, it will show, the question is if it means anything after 1/3. Apparently customer service can not be any help in extending it. I guess uncertainty is a part of the deal with this ordering process and I have to learn to live with it. I may take your advice and stop by dealer anyway after it is built.

Just had my build date moved for the fourth time- Oct to Nov, Nov to Dec, Dec to Jan and just now from Jan to Feb 20th. What the hell?!! XLT 312A (max tow).

That sucks. If there is a part shortage, we will probably be right behind you. Frankly, If I am not getting mine in December (which is likely the case), March is as good or better than January for me (provided I get the private offer and price guaranty).

I have the exact same opinion! I would rather wait till spring if I’m not getting it this year lol.

Priority has nothing to do with if he's being pushed back that's a part constraint issues. If priority was the issue he would of never been scheduled in the first place. The XLT 312A is definitely one to stay away from it has alot of Lariat items that the 311A doesn't have.

I think you are right. My dealer had me at priority 19 and I was not getting scheduled. I called them and made a stink about it. They gave me a bunch of B.S. that I knew was not true and I magically got scheduled shortly after. It may have been a coincidence but I agree with you that priority has the most impact before getting scheduled.

You sure about this? I think I’ve seen some 2022 mavericks get scheduled, then need to be converted to 2023MY, so they got bumped to priority 99 which means “hold” I think. The MY change is likely not the issue here. Just giving a situation where I think something was scheduled and then bumped. If a certain component is removed…that’s also a reason to get bumped back to 99 priority (I think) until the order is confirmed with the dealer to not include the item. Heated steering wheel, etc. Pointing out examples where I thought you could get priority bumped, but I could be wrong. To me it’s worth the call to make sure nothing needs to be confirmed or done on his end.

Still not a priority issue those 22 model year Mavericks were canceled because they would have been delivered in 2023. Ford canceled them cuz they knew they would not be able to deliver them as a 2022 in 2023. After those had been canceled Ford recreated their order and put them as a 99 so they would not be scheduled before the customer authorized what Ford had inputted for them. After a set date those orders were then put in as priority 2 which is lower than any dealer can prioritize an order which would be priority 10.

Appreciate all the help in this thread. Just pulled my window sticker. 12/11 blend, 803/887. AM Blue Lariat ER with max tow, no spray-in liner. Installed a NEMA 14-50 today to get me started. Can’t wait.
