Well, on the heels on 4.2.1, I recieved 4.2.1.2.

After 4.2.1, I had an issue where the truck thought it was in a different Timezone (+2 hours ahead of me in PDT) for all charging and conditioning related settings. I deleted all my charge and conditioning settings, reconfigured them, and haven't had the issue again since.

This morning, after receiving the update last night, my truck again tried to charge before its set time to charge (2 hours), and conditioning the cabin 2 hours early. I'm going to wipe settings again and reconfigure them, I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced this or if it's just an isolated glitch?

Not a big issue at all, just a minor inconvenience.

I recently got 4.2.1 on 3/21/23

No impact on my charging schedule, it kicked off ontime at 6am this morning.

Since I'm on level 1 for another week I hadn't even looked. I'll try to remember and take a look when I depart work.

Thank you for your responses. I'm trying to assist Ford in discovering if this is isolated or not...

No issues with time zone here, on 4.2.1 old UI and no streaming apps. It correctly changed time zones when I was on my road trip last weekend.

The specific issue I'm referencing is that after an update, or randomly as of last night, my truck's internal clock thinks it's 2 hours ahead of what I have programmed in charge settings. It was fine Monday. This morning, with no charge setting changes, it preconditioned my vehicle 2 hours early.

Since SunRun hasn't sent me my FCSP yet, that was all I could think of to provide some feedback. We're supposed to hit 90 next week, so I doubt I'd be preconditioning anyways. I hope you're able to figure out what's up with that.

Thank you. Preconditioning isn't only for cold weather. It will also cool your cabin, and battery, if needed.

What was the temperature last night? and the prior time when it was working as you expected?

Both nights were in the Low 30's.

This also happened after I got an update a couple weeks ago. I refreshed my charge settings by changing them, saving them, then changing them back and the issue went away.

I've seen battery preconditioning start early at variable times based on environmental conditions but 2 hours seems like a lot for 30 degrees!!! I don't think the truck needs that much time to warm the battery, then again I'm using a FCSP at 80 amp setting if you are using a lower amp rating then maybe more time is needed.

Once the battery is up to temp then the cabin conditioning starts t-minus 15 minutes from departure time, but if you're late getting into the truck it will continue cabin warming/cooling for another 15 minutes before it stops and the truck goes back to sleep.

One other thought comes to mind, you're aware that departure times have two selectable events for each day of the week, is it possible you have an extraneous setting for the most recent event, maybe you accidently input a wrong time??

Also, regarding charging, we have two time frames available and those setting are grouped as weekday and weekend programs, programming this is easier done in the truck for me, my old eyes necessitate a zoom level on my mobile device to a point that the week/weekend selectors are invisible on the FP android app.

Good thoughts.

It was exactly 2 hours early, so I dont think it was a temperature event. Also, my FordPass notified me that my truck was ready for departure.

I only have preconditioning set for M-F at 1 time. This also happened after an update. I wonder if I had a module update, possibly a similar one to the previous update?
