Hi all, 2024 Flash with 11k mile. About two weeks ago I started hearing an odd sound from the back or under the truck whenever a hit a bump in the road. It sounds like there is a five pound weight that hits with a clunk. I’ve been having a hard time tracking it down. My first thought was the tailgate step. It can be shaken when closed but there does not seem to be enough play to account for the clunking sound. I opened the tailgate and checked for anything loose inside but didn’t find anything out of the ordinary. I crawled under the truck and checked for loose bolts or plates but didn’t find anything. Did anyone experience something like this before? Any ideas what might have come loose?

Well, you’ve not found that wrench I hid 😂.. Under warranty so a mech at the dealer can put on a lift, shake & check suspension. Rocks trapped in confined space possible. I had a very small rock get between the brake disc and jam against the mount plate. Screeched like a banshee. Fell out when I backed up.

Seriously, if the truck’s interior spaces, frunk, and bed are clear, an underbody methodical look-see never hurts. Is the spare tire lift snug? Could a rock get trapped behind a wheel well liner? But putting it up on a lift after a mech drives it is probably best.

sw engineering manager,
Check the control arm bolts. There is a recall for some of them coming loose. I think they were worried about the front, but maybe also an issue on the rear?
