One also needs 3 phase 480v to power it. You have to pay extra for the swappable charging cable, 15 or 25 ft, nacs and/or ccs1.

You also get the pleasure of wheeling the 315lb, 22"x48" unit around.

If noone has realized this is not a portable battery unit. It's just a portable DC charger...

This article popped up regarding a Lincoln Electric 50kW portable charger.

Here's the YouTube video.

I recall and see from the search we've had multiple discussions regarding a product that would do what this Lincoln Electric Portable charger claims it can do. Thought it would be worth reviving a thread and letting folks know there will be a product available at some point and put it on folks radar.
I've been carrying one of these in my truck:

Haven't had to use it yet, but expect it to work well when I do. I try to plan my routes for areas with overhead power lines, but tow a small excavator so I can hook up to underground lines if I have to. If lines are overhead, a good throwing arm can get a small line up over the phase wires, one after another. Then the small line is used to haul up the 1" diameter cables. I make my own transformer to suit by jusr wrapping the HV lines around what become the 480V lines. Easy peasy.

Two months ago I needed to run my little 2.2KW Honda portable generator for a while under load. It is an inverter based generator with 120V only output. Plugged the Mobile Charge Cord into it and ran it under load for an hour. Got 1.2 KWH into the battery. So not exactly fast (OK, slow as molasses), but it did work.
