Dropped off the Lightning today (Mach-E after it is done) for a last pre-warranty-expiration visit. Had seen a few 12v battery warnings over the year, all right after updates being applied at dealer (they do use a power supply). Center screen freezing at times on a trip, and the frunk threw an error recently.

Within a hour, they messaged that a new center screen is on order, a new frunk latch, and 12V battery did fail the test.

Hopefully the Mach-E will go as smoothly, and also need a new 12v battery.

The Lightning already has it, courtesy of Ford for a past issue, with the $100 deductible. The Mach-E does not, and at this point I'm not buying it.

I have 775 miles left on my factory warranty, but my truck is refusing to give me reasons to get one last free shot before the extended warranty kicks in. I do have to remember to go look at the rear light bar to make sure it hasn't accumulated condensation again, though.

So did you just ask the dealer to inspect it, and they found an issue?

Testing the 12v battery is a free service.

I got an error with the frunk, so reported it. They checked and found a problem with the latch.

Been complaining about the center screen. They checked for codes, found one, researched and determined screen was faulty.
