I think Ford caved to people wanting dashboard to show more miles, and ruined the only accurate EV range gauge, sadly. Now it’s only useful for seeing the percent left, on Calm screen.

I had my Lightning at the dealer today to get a front air dam actuator replaced. I asked the service writer to writ up a ticket to get the DTE software fixed.

I complained that it gives highly unrealistic mileage estimates and now 30% of my instrument panel is wasted space with erroneous information.
@Ford Motor Company this has got to get fixed.

The DTE algorithms it originally came with last summer was highly accurate. This new software sucks.
