Has anyone else seen this? I tried both 2.4kW circuits in the bed with the same result.

I’ll put a Kill-o-Watt on it and see if it’s under volted, as the saw sounds slow for the few seconds it does work.

Edit: Kill-o-Watt confirmed bed outlet voltage dropping as low as 66.7 volts under load before stabilizing back around 120v. Frunk and interior outlets are fine - no issue with this saw.

I guess you don't also have anything else that is plugged in and pulling power at the same time...

I would also try another tool to see if the same thing occurs...

also, try one of the outlets in the cab, and even in the frunk...

Correct, it’s the only thing connected. It works fine on a house outlet or on Flexvolt batteries. I’ll try my tablesaw and see how that fares.

The issue is probably the inrush current for the saw. While the saw has a rated current of 15 Amps it *probably* pulls way more than that for a few seconds.

Maybe an electrician on here can help explain it better than I?

I think my wife has the same saw, so maybe I’ll try and rig up a current clamp to measure it…

Inrush would be on initial motor startup - it does run for several seconds (I was actually able to complete a 2x6 cut over ~4 cycles), but in any case that's generally an issue for equipment operating on lower power inverters (e.g. a 400 watt device on a 500 watt inverter may exceed 500 watts briefly and trip something), but with 2.4kW available I should have the full equivalent of a 20 amp household outlet.

Let Farley know. This would not be acceptable.

Massive voltage drop confirmed under load from the bed (66.7 volts). @hturnerfamily good call on frunk/cab outlets - those are fine.

I wonder if that's an issue with your truck wiring? Mine worked fine for miter saw and table saw.

Dropped it off at the dealer yesterday morning - now we wait.

I got a Bronco Sport as a loaner..
At least you got a loaner. The dealers around me offer no loaner at all
