I suppose one benefit is that if you're using a Tesla adapter, it can't be disconnected and stolen. I don't know that this is a big problem, really, but it does make me feel a little better about leaving the car unattended while I DC fast charge at a Tesla Supercharger.It’s great about the locking mechanism. However, if someone randomly presses the unlock button on the charge port, it stops charging. What’s the difference? They can’t take the plug and charge their own car, but my car is now not charging.@Ford Motor Company might want to get that fixed
