Not against the rules. I replied to your DM on the report but others may have a different opinion. My main concern is why the airbag, trim, tail light and weatherstripping were replaced.

I just noticed there were more pages after the warranty detail. Does look like more issues occurred this year including Sync screen blackout and loss of cabin heat.

Edit again: I could spend another $2,500 for a bumper to bumper extended warranty from ford till 2031 / 60k miles. (I drive about 6-7k miles a year tops, so for the next 6 years, I figure to add another 40k miles on top of the already 9k miles).

Look at Granger Ford, their extended warranty prices are really good. It is the same Ford warranty dealers sell.

Right, no Fla or Cali. I just noticed you updated your location to FL. But if you have a relative, you can use their address (there are some posts here on that). Interesting that the vehicle was in Florida originally with all the issues and ended up in Ohio under the RAV program!

Correct, Florida only allows Florida dealers to write ESPs at List Price. The State set that up to prevent Price gouging where dealers would markup policies.

The work around is to use an out of state address and use Granger to get the contract. I am in South Florida and if I were to buy a FORD ESP I would use my Brother In Laws address in NC where we vacation. The policy will be emailed to you and it is valid in all states, including Florida.

FYI, Sarasota Ford is very familiar with EV service if you are in the area.

awesome, congrats on retirement. One that threw me for a loop on that repair list was REPLACEMENT OF DOOR TRIM PANEL, WEATHERSTRIPPING AND DRIVER AIR BAG

not sure what that was for, I did see where the truck wouldn’t unlock and to unlock it they caused damages, but maybe that was the from trying to fish the door open, but it happened months after that door unlock incident date. If the vehicle was in an accident and brought to dealer, would they have to report to that Carfax? I don’t see any mention of body work

looks like a great price. Some of the warranty items were small like the reprogramming of the control modules, rain sensor replacement, door panel replacement, rear tail light replacement and the no heat due to low coolant level.

I have had a door panel replaced in my truck due to a cosmetic defect, a rear tail light replaced due to water intrusion, and have had to top up the coolant level twice as the air works its way out of the system.

i would suggest buying the extended warranty with this truck just in case you need it.

Bought my truck sight unseen 2 months ago but it was a CPO. I was pleasantly surprised when it got delivered. Truck had been very well maintained by the original owner. But I know it can be a hit and miss with online purchases. You just need to do your due diligence.
In your case I would be extra cautious due to the fact it is a buy back. The asking price might be attractive but in the long run it could cost you more. Not all lemon are the same of course. That is why if I were to purchase this truck I would not do it without checking it first hand or have someone you trust check it for you if not local.

Looks like a jewel to me. I'd be comfortable with the extended warranty to cover future issues. The notes read like the tech knew what they were doing for troubleshooting. The replaced parts seems appropriate and heard of here on the forums. The short circuit on the instrument cluster and replacement made sense.


I got my truck unseen and drove it across the country. What you're doing of shopping without testing it, has been done.


For the weather stripping, my moon roof seal developed dry rot. That's what came to my mind when I read that on the uploaded notes.

I have the remaining factory bumper to bumperwarranty till January 2027 or 36k (truck currently has 9k miles) and all the other remaining factory warranties remain, EV battery 8/100k. I’m also going to purchase an extended warranty from the ford to take the truck to 2032 with 60k miles (I drive on avg about 7k miles annually). The dealer has been transparent, sent videos driving it, undercarriage photos, insides outside photos etc. it was bought back by ford and repaired by ford with the factory warranty in tact still, which is why I’m considering it.
