Questions: Wiper Blades and Cabin Filter Replacements

Hello All,

Hope all is well!

First - I wanted to find out how many have replaced their wiper blades yet. I have fellow Lightning owners that have replaced the stock 22” blades with 24” and say they work well/better. Just curious how that “extra drag” may or may not affect the wiper motor. Let me know if you have upgraded to 24” blades and your experiences.

Second - I was thinking that I may want to replace the standard cabin air filter with a HEPA certified one but wanted to know if anyone has tried this and if so did it reduce the airflow badly and if it actually made a difference in filtring out outside odors, exhaust, etc.

I replaced the wipers with 22in Bosch icons and they work well. I also used the Bosch cabin air filter which I think is supposedly hepa. No issues with the fan And I got less of that mildew smell. No other reduction observed.

I’ve not replaced the stock ones yet but.. a good shot of Rain-X slows them down. That was surprising.

I just replaced the original ones with Michelin silicone 22 inch.

I am skeptical on silicone - I put them on our mini van and they are not holding up well - very streaky - hope your ones do better!
