Rear Lightning lettering glue issues

Seems a 6-hour drive in direct sunlight is enough for the glue to fail. I pulled these off before loosing them to highway wind. Anyone know what kind of glue is needed to stick them back on? Looks like the entire decal needs resticking but the other letters seemed to be stuck on enough, hopefully…

I never heard that from happening before. My truck that's antimatter blue gets super hot in the sun. I have it sit all day long in the sun and that doesn't happen.

there are 3m double sided automotive tape you can get but they usually have a slim foam centre. Not sure if they will end up being different heights from the other ones. If it were me I would definitely take it back to Ford under warranty. Must have been a defect when applying adhesive to your letters.

Antimatter blue too. Out of warranty now so will need to take care of it myself. Maybe I’ll reach out to ford and see if they can send me a new one as a goodwill gesture - I can’t see these costing them more than a few cent.

Wow, but not really surprising… I’ll figure out some glue and just glue it back on. Not sure if the letters that I removed had sticky pads or just some kind of glue. May just have to take it all off and clean it up with Gue-be-gone.

It's not glue, it's double sided tape. 3M makes different widths and thicknesses. You just need to find the right size.

I replaced the tape on some trim on my golf cart last year. It was pretty easy but I only needed to attach an "I" so there was minimal trimming.

This is what I would do. You may have had a batch of bad glue on yours and the other letters may still have issues. It comes packaged with the adhesive already on the letters and proper transfer tape on the top to keep accurate spacing.
Clean surface (remove any wax etc.), peel and stick.

Edit: It is for one set only. You need to order 2 if you want both sides.

Yes, with those raised letters, I have been worried that some SOB comes by and flicks a few letters off just to be a . A-____
But after nearly 2 years no problems so far...
