The recall is changing the nut with different nut and torque it appropriately.

I brought mine in, no idea if they were loose or not. I guess I didn’t care enough to ask what they did, just wanted the documentation it was resolved lol

The Ford service representative at the the drop off point of Dealership service said to me they had "checked, tightened and torqued the nuts". "No new parts necessary", he said. Maybe accurate as to exactly what they did, maybe not. Maybe accurate as to the dictum of the recall, which may require new nuts regardless. Maybe not. No way to know for sure, except he said I was good to go. They gave me a pat on the back and sent me on my way. Hopefully, things we're done exactly as required.

My dealer service dept is on the way to my house to pick up the truck for the recall. I was *completely surprised* that they are doing a pickup and dropoff for this recall as my local dealer service dept has a less than stellar reputation overall and a tiny to non-existent EV presence. Hopefully this improvement in service is a positive sign. They say that they should have the truck for about 4 hours and return it later today. :fingerscrossed:

Apparently, my nuts and ball-joints are just fine - no recall for me.

Truck returned to my home exactly 4 hours later.

"Replaced driver and passenger upper ball joint fasteners"

Other than having to turn one pedal back on and move my seat and mirrors back to my normal position, this was a surprisingly truly painless experience. I hope this is a sign of better things to come for my local dealer and Ford in general.

Yup. Took mine in last weekend. They replaced both sides and had me out in a few hours.

Might just look up the T spec and buy a couple Grade 8 Nylocs and do it myself.

Same, dropped truck off at 7 this morning and picked it up at 10. Invoice says they replaced 2 *W717969*S440 Nuts. Quick and easy...

I got the recall last fall. There is not a dealership in Juneau, AK, nearest dealership is in Whitehorse, Yukon, CA. I didn't want to drive it up to Whitehorse thru the pass in the winter, I waited until May. The nuts were tight, but not up to the proper torque, 25.8 FTLBS. They replaced the nuts with new nuts and torqued them properly, 46 FTLBS.. They had me drive it a day and return to have the lug nuts retorqued as they had to remove the front wheels to do the service. I did do a visual inspection last fall when I got the recall notice, and the nuts were on and appeared to be tight to the feel. Very happy with the service at the Ford dealership in Whitehorse.
