I don't mind recalls. I'd rather them recall and fix an issue than not.
A recall means that something failed that is a safety issue. Ford is the number one leader by far. That is a bad thing.

It's a bad thing that there are safety issues but it's a good thing they issue recalls to fix them.

Forced to. Federal law.
Some recalls are mandated and some are voluntary. Though many are voluntary because the automaker knows the feds will eventually mandate it.

Once upon a time recalls weren't a thing or were few and far between. It doesn't mean the cars didn't have safety issues, it just means that now they do recalls to fix them.

So I'd rather my truck be recalled than let it continue having a safety issues.

I thought I posted this, but apparently not?

These are the technical instructions...basically it's an inspection of the tabs that hold the fabric at all 13 locations around the front edge. If the fabric has come loose, the tech is to use a trim tool to put it back in the groove.

If the fabric is torn or missing, I guess you get a new one.

You could probably go out and open the roof panel and take a look yourself. I think my moonroof has been opened twice, and one of those times was to use the 3M RVCare Rubber Conditioner around the seal to stop the panel from squeaking. Small particulates get between the seal itself and the roof opening frame and when the glass moves (flex from going over a bump or up a steep incline, etc.) you hear a rattle or squeak. I've had that happen on one '20 Raptor, and my '21 Lariat Powerboost that I traded for the Lightning. I didn't dream up this fix myself..I got the inspiration from a YT video and it was the only thing that stopped the squeak. So this has been an ongoing problem with Ford sliding panel moonroofs for years. And like others have posted..I wish that I could have ordered my Lariat without the moonroof like they let the Canadians do. That thing is just a problem waiting to happen and is literally a liability.
