Search programyourremote on eBay and type in your FCC number. I bought one from them for my 24 Flash, It is OEM, decent price, and programmed the first time.

If we are allowed to post links I can do that.

If you have issues finding the store let me know and I can PM you.
Links are fine to be posted. I tried and got nothing. I must be half a retard. ? (because you never go full retard!) anyway if someone can link to an oem 315mhz key fob with the remote start button id appreciate it.

AK018118 Aftermarket 315/433.92/434.26/868/902MHz 15K601 For Ford Mondeo Fusion Smart Remote Key 49 Chip M3N-A2C31243800 - AliExpress 34 #4 works for my 23. It has a trunk icon instead of tailgate but lock/unlock/remote start and tailgate works. One thing that got me is that you have to hit lock and then press the remote start button twice. My ram just requires you to press the remote start twice.

I don’t think it exists. That button is where the remote start button is. I use my frunk a fair amount but I don’t even carry the key sometimes since I have PAAK. I just use the button for the frunk.

Update: I see now this has already been discussed. Sorry for the repeat.

Member sstevetx mentioned this in a post about programming a key. I tried it and it works. It’s a cool capability so I’m pointing it out for everybody that’s interested.

If you program a key fob to your truck that has traditional remote start instead of the frunk button, you can remote start the truck just like an ICE F150. So, if you can’t start the cabin warmup with the app, you can start it from the key fob. It functions just as if you had started it from the app.

With the cold weather we’ve been having I’ve found that at very cold temps the BMS will shutdown several features to preserve the 12v SOC. This happens even when the 12v is at a high SOC - happened to my truck after 9 hours at work with the 12v at over 90% charge with outdoor air temps below -5F. One of the features that gets shutdown is the connected features modem. So, when I most wanted to preheat the cabin my app couldn’t connect.

If you decide to try it, make sure to pick a fob with the right frequency. My 24 Flash key fob is 433 MHz. Earlier trucks were 315 MHz. Best approach is to check your Fob FCC ID to confirm your frequency.
25 Flash is also 433 MHz. It's too bad we couldn't sub the tailgate button and keep the funk as mine don't have that any way.

I found one using the FFC ID number on ebay that is for the 2020-2024 Ford Transit and it has a 'trunk' button on it along with the remote start - I just ordered it so I don't know for sure if it will work with the Lightning Frunk. I was $37 with tax and with free shipping.

When I get it I'll program it to the truck and test it to see if the Frunk button will work.

link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/306388362552

UPDATE: well I programmed it but...the doors work, not the Frunk or what I thought was the remote start - turns out it was a button for side doors on the transit, alas.

I tried several sequences of lock unlock remote start button (side doors) that would work with an ICE and eTransit, no go.

Guess I'll just order one with remote start button and leave it at that.

Would be cool if you could repurpose the useless alarm button on an existing fob to do... anything else.

I decided to buy the $100 remote start add-on kit form KickyRide:, and with it I can use my original FOB.

https://www.amazon.com/Plug-Remote-Start-F-150-Trucks/dp/B0C9XDXFT1/ref=sr_1_15?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9._iEoBX5a1IJU0BJ-smX6Fce4Nc5TW46EWpXbTaVIdLiVOMCCICrXvqV4Os107oGnra9kfrGsQ0fj6kCwQU6mJmnkn31AM3TSQreILIBhfw8yBOTK-i1a4gpUYXFvV81LL9_Y52KeerZajnqAbs9Sop1yF0u8sPlCG-n5OXmnVkaBwdvjH8Q6gX67z4pdQ-ygyvKgKF9jEZ1-eE2-u-dqeYJIibQTjyVKRt1dPNVKS3YrGpS7Mh93bQzNJqislVysCVBLAJ5K_aEVIjVvwe4k_d5rIxOe8vapgDraAeUXR4Y.LWlQpXaW9LAe8Hb-LbVXsM1Gw3ASRlCz5Q8PRpmUW44&dib_tag=se&keywords=remote+start+ford+f150&qid=1773620421&sr=8-15&th=1

I contacted the company and they confirmed this unit will work with my 2023 Lightning.

Plug-n-play with the only wire one has to attach separately is a ground wire that comes with a ring terminal for easy attachment to a nearby bolt behind the glove box.

Install video (an ICE truck but company confirmed it will work with the Lightning and a push button start):

https://www.amazon.com/vdp/0bb9ed24154d4dc4afdd509d94bca661?ref=dp_ive_hero_0

UPDATE: well I installed and programmed it, but did not work, so I am contacting the company for a tweak...may have something to do with the fact that there is no hood per se so no hood ajar signal.

UPDATE 2: well actually it may have worked - the remote start won't turn on everything according to the manual:

The direction indicators flash twice.
• The parking lamps turn on when the
vehicle is running.
• The horn sounds if the system fails to
start.
• All other vehicle systems remain off
when you have remotely started the
vehicle.
• The vehicle remains secured when you
have remotely started the vehicle. A
valid key must be inside your vehicle to
switch the vehicle on and drive your
vehicle.

So it did flash the lights twice - I thought the truck was off because the screen did not light up inside the truck.

I read the posts in this thread. Followed the directions. Bought a 2025 raptor key with same frequency as then2025 lightning, followed YouTube video. And tested. The results are the raptor fob preheats cab but the remote start function says I need to push the start button upon entering the truck to start the lightning. Is this how the remote start function works? I thought it would remote start the truck like any remote start key fob. Am I missing something? Thank you.

I bought this off of Amazon for my '25 Flash: https://a.co/d/0iNwm2fB

And then followed this YouTube tutorial:

It took about 3 minutes and works like a charm.

When I get into the truck, I still need to put my foot on the brake and press the start button. That is the same way my Honda Passport worked and my Hyundai Santa Fe before that. Even if started via fob, you still need to turn it on when you get in to fire everything up.

Hope that helps.
