Rotary dial mod spray paint color

I’m curious if anyone who has done the modification to the rotary shifter has successfully painted matched the mount to match the cup holders color? If so would you mind sharing a pick and the color name? I get that it’s black, but there are so many different blacks with different finishes. Just looking to save some $ and time by hearing what has already worked. Thank you in advance!

Do mutliple layers of filler primer to smooth out the 3d print lines. I got the similar brand of trim black but “ultra” thinking is more durable but it was a satin and looked really cheap and too glossy. Went to the matte and the match is pretty spot on.

Sand smooth? What grit? how many coats?

You can sand in between primer coats. I don’t know if it’s totally necessary. Just Use a fine grit between the last primer coat and the black paint.

What about an adhesion promoter? I’ve been reading about guys who have used that product. Wonder if it’s necessary.
