Over the years, we've seen several OTA's disregard charging scheme rules, set your automatic updates to OFF, this might not control "non-inhibit" types of updates though.

@Ford Motor Company, please consider setting all updates targeting trucks affected by 25s18 to require manual execution of the update, owner can schedule a non-charging period to complete the task, in particular those updates that don't require an inhibit period.

I just sent this email to the supervisor that made us whole when our our truck had a module go bad. I'm starting to get very frustrated with Ford and thinking more and more about a buyback.

"Mr. ______.

This ________. You assisted me with my Ford Lightning battery problem and related expenses back in October of 2023 when it broke down in Montana. I have left those email below for reference.

Our Truck has been under the battery electrode misalignment recall for several months now with no fix yet from Ford. Ford has advised us not to charge it above 80% to reduce the risk of fire. Since we cannot charge it above 80% we are not able to drive it to our second home in Montana. We bought our Lightning to take to our 2nd home.

Since we cannot take our Lightning on our road trips we have been forced to spend a significant amount of money to purchase a third vehicle for our travels.

What compensation will Ford be offering to owners affected by this recall? Will there be buybacks offered?

We are growing increasingly frustrated with our 2022 Lightning.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

____________"

Just curious, has anyone received any kind of update from Ford. I believe we are beyond the second quarter.
Has anyone been scheduled for a repair yet?
