Hey Sean. What’s the word on the Ford Options for the Lightning? Is there an incentive? Is the “always on” rate the actual rate? Any insight on your end? Can’t find anything on Ford website.

Hey Lightning Community!

My name is Sean McLaughlin.

I'm the Mach-E, Lightning, and Bronco Specialist here at the store. Most of my forum time has been spent on Bronco6G. Wanted to jump in to give our customers (and other Lightning Customers) another resource. Feel free to ask any questions about the process (which most of you know already), our store, or anything Lightning! My direct email at the store for EV related items is [email protected], you can always reach out there as well if you want an order update or have questions!
Sean is handling my order, (XLT Carbonized Gray SR) he has been excellent about answering my numerous questions quickly and knowledgeably. No adm either btw. Would recommend if you're in the bay area!

Funny you mentioned Hollister, I'll be driving my Lightning there daily for work once it's delivered. I did the math and I think I'll be hitting 20k miles in the first year just from commuting.

It is amazing how much you end up driving an EV because the cost is so low. We will just about hit 8k miles on my Wife's Mach-e in 5 months!

Always on?

We don't have any rates at the moment.

@Gloff Have you seen any Lightnings actually on the move to dealers? We have a number of build week threads but no one has seen any Lightnings on dealer lots or delivered to customers

Ford put out a b-roll on their media site (media.ford.com) showing shipping happening, but none of ours have landed, and I haven't seen any in transit in visibility yet. I only have access to our inventory though, so dealers close to Rouge might be getting them within the next week.

I'm not super active on this forum yet, most of my time is consumed with the day-to-day. Lots of split time here, MachEForum, and B6G.

I had heard about it, didn't know they were calling it an "Always-On" rate. Looks like a standard subvened rate to us. It's not showing in Vincent yet (and we haven't been able to retail one yet, obviously).

To then answer your first question, you know the rates available, that communication specifically calls out that we can't mark it up. I'm sure the options residuals are posted here somewhere. As for rebate, nothing is showing yet in Vincent, and I suspect it will stay that way with the demand on this product.

FWIW, we can't mark up the options rate on Mach-E either as it's technically a subvened rate.

Any new info you get, please pass it forward. I help gathering data for every Lightning we can find on this Forum and Autotrader, so right now we have 245 trucks that I am tracking and have found only 1 of the 245 that actually has a built date that just showed up today. All the rest have a production date or nothing at all. Definitely not a single ship date as of yet. My Lightning order was produced on 5/10, and my visibility report still has that note at the end that "ETA Pending Final Launch Readiness Sign Off Expected Spring 2022". The OKTB was in April, and my last visibility date was 5/10, so what gives?

It's just going to take time to get everything moving, pretty typical of a new model launch.

Any word on what may be causing what appear to be delays in Lightning delays?

I'm not aware of any abnormalities in the delivery process, a new model takes time.
