Set a profile photo in Sync?

There is another thread or conversation about it, one user was able to select the photo tied to his contact in his phone. Mine doesn't work though, just like yours it doesn't find my photo.

I also have iOS and only have a single entry for me. Under Settings, Contacts, My Info - My contact is selected and it says "me" in the listings. Still no luck with getting the picture to show up in the truck.

For others searching this is how I was able to make it work.

First, I ensured I only had one contact for myself and it had a profile picture like above.

I then deleted the phone from thetruck and forgot Bluetooth on my phone.

i readded my phone but did NOT immediately allow CarPlay (I think this is the trick)

finally I went intomy profile after a minute and looked for a contact photo and it found it

Re added CarPlay so I have full capabilities

I was not able to do it until I removed my Ford Pass-linked phone number from all other contact entries. I did a search of my address book and found my cell number was included in my wife's contact info for some reason. Once I removed that, my photo would show up. I even figured out how to assign pics to all three profiles:

I got this to work. As someone else suggested I turned off CarPlay from the phone first for the lightning.

Next, I made sure there was only 1 contact for myself in my contact app and a picture was assigned.

next, on the truck I made sure my name was spelt exactly as it’s on my phone.

took about 5 seconds for the truck to pickup my profile pic. It’s my Memoji on iOS (minus any animation).

Its ridiculous that they don't let you just pick whatever picture you want here.

No,I don't really want my own photo on my car screen all the time, and the stock 2 or 3 options Ford gives you are awful.
