So mine went from a continuous downloading message on the center screen when checking Software Updates, to a message saying that Ford will make an update available.

Hopefully they figure this out soon.

I don't mean to detract from the intent of this post, but since we're talking about icons on the top of the screen, is there anyway to get rid of that damn Alexa icon? I have looked at all of the settings and can't find anything that turns it off.

Yes, quite simple actually. Select the Alexa icon as if you wanted to set it up the first time. Then when the dialog comes up just tell it to disable it and remove the icon.
I did do this update with FDRS and in the process my user profile was intentionally erased (mostly anyway) by the ‘erase and replace’ wipe that this update requires when using FDRS. The OTA as I’ve come to understand it, is a little gentler but may not be as ‘complete’ an upgrade as the more destructive wipe and replace that FDRS does.
As an example I did have to setup my profile settings all over again and once again, dump the Alexa icon. Strangely my ‘home’ location and charging settings were unaffected by this update, as was my backup code, and some other stuff that I would have thought might get erased. So it took me a while to figure out what got erased and what didn’t.

There's no easy way to answer that.

There are 3 SW updates as part of "Software 12". The first two have now rolled out to all. Seems the 3rd piece, the Sync update, is still only with the EAP folks. From the timing of when I got them, I'd expect it to start rolling out to all in the next 2 days.

I have no signs of update on my 2024 Flash. All communications are working well. Are these updates for 24-25 ?
