I have the A2Z adapter and have yet to need it and hoping to keep it that way. I'm in no hurry to give $$ to Tesla and wouild do so if the only other option was to push the truck in bad weather.
I totally agree 150%, a billionaire does not need any of my ¢ . . .

Watching the Elon defenders come up with theories is like watching the proud parents of a "genius" six-year-old interpreting what the kid's latest drawing means. "It is an ironic take on Cubism". "It is the opening lines (in Sanskrit) of Bhagavad Gita." "It is a circuit diagram for a flux capacitor." "It is the ribosome of the tomato that he just squashed against the wall." "It is just too genius for anybody not on his level to understand."

Then some cynical jerk on the sidelines says "he was trying to draw a picture of the cat."

There is no business case for what he did, and although he has so much money that he can throw it all away if he wants, it is certainly unfair to the investors who he works for.
With all the instability in the corner office, have to wonder at the Tesla charging standard being universally adopted despite its technological advantages.
there have been a few articles that state, through unnamed sources, that some major automakers are questioning their decisions, especially those across the pond. But who really knows?

Tesla is not Elon. His main genius as he stated himself was attracting and hiring smart people. I am not sure how attractive Tesla is to those folks these days with surprise mass firings. Loyalty goes both ways.

He may be scared a little because he can see the future. With Chinese gunning for EV market, Feds can keep them at bay with tariffs for so long. At some point Americans will get tired of buying overpriced vehicles. Once they get a real choice between NIO L60 and Model Y or between BYD Seagull and Tesla's none existent Model 2, game over. We are not even talking about everyone pushing hybrids. He knows he needs a new gig. Take rate for his latest FSD was 2%. Optimus may have to learn to run before learning how to walk.

I do not know Elon Musk, so I neither like nor dislike him. But I sure respect what he has thus far accomplished. Any one of the companies he has been involved with would be a lifetime achievement for even the most entrepreneurial person ... Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, The Boring Company, SolarCity, PayPal, Zip2, OpenAI, Twitter, DeepMind, X.com, xAI, Tesla Energy, Starlink, Musk Foundation.

Take SpaceX for example. Musk refused a cost-plus U.S. government contract for delivering astronauts to the Space Station because it would make SpaceX too much like Boeing. SpaceX has delivered astronauts to the Space Station years ahead of Boeing and at about half the price as Boeing. And it is being done again on U.S. built and operated spacecraft, not Russian spacecraft.

Musk has self-diagnosed as having Asperger's Syndrome, which would explain his lack of social skills.

The way I look at it, a person probably has to be at least somewhat inhuman to deliver super-human results.

I am patiently awaiting my charging adapter. I have a high level of confidence that it will work and that there will be ample Superchargers available for my needs. I appreciate what Elon Musk and his companies have done to provide me with that option.
