Live availability info on Tesla Supercharger stalls are now showing in Google Maps and Apple Maps. They show the number of open stalls, charging speeds, and other supercharger site info.
I used the Tesla superchargers on a trip from Kansas to San Antonio, Texas. One stop in Oklahoma at night was across from a closed Pizza Hut and the nearest station was a few blocks away which I wasn't walking to in the dark while charging. Some are near a station/convenience store and some are not and some are in a shopping center area. So it is hit or miss if you need to make a bathroom or food/drink break while waiting. But I averaged 33 cents a kwh after paying the $12.99 monthly charge for one month and then promptly canceled renewals. Can always renew again for another month at any time.
I see it in Apple, but I don't see a filter for those that don't allow non-Tesla. It's showing my nearby Fred Meyer which I know from other searches only allows Tesla vehicles.
And I've seen somewhere that a thread showed adding your vehicle to your Apple Maps profile but for the life of me can't find that. Do I have to be on CarPlay while I look?
I'm glad both Google and Apple are expanding into this, it wasn't long ago that you only had one EV charger to choose from, and you had to just wait there whether you liked it or not.
