I was watching Kyle's Model 3 refresh video and he covers the v4 SC which happened to also be there. A bit of insight on much longer cables and the screen or where it should be. I don't know if these have been reviewed or seen before, it was the first for me.

Edit - not sure if that is a screen with a static sticker over it or if it was not a screen, he didn't go back and dig into details. First thought it was a screen then noted it was just a sticker.

I know we will have access to V3 SC'ers and no V4's exist in the US to my knowledge. It is just some insight of what the possibilities or retrofits might look like.

Exciting, but I dont understand why these are not being deployed on our soil first. Even Magic Docks seemed to have stopped.

There is a new station I was told about that will be coming online in my town, I rushed over hoping it would have a Magic Dock……no sign of a Magic Dock, which is disappointing

I think now that Tesla has everyone (well most of the big players) moving to NACS so they will have the on board software software support so offering adapter cables/plugs has to be more cost effective, even more so if the Oem ships them out.

There is indeed a spot for a small screen and wireless payment card reader on the new V4s. AFAIK, none have been installed in the US yet. The V4 stalls also have longer charging cables, which hopefully will work well with F150s. As soon as a V4 gets installed in the US, I'll ask this forum to send an F150 Lightning there pronto to check it out!

Once it is announced, I'm sure there will be a line of Lightnings and others, provided it has a Magic Dock or Ford has been integrated into the Infrastructure.

I need to drive from home east of Syracuse, NY to Cleveland, OH soon. Supposedly there are Tesla Superchargers in Batavia, NY and Fredonia, NY that have Magic Docks. I called Ford just now and was told I can't use them until January but I don't believe that.

I need help setting up an account so that I can "plug and play". How do I do this. I tried with the Tesla app and Ford's app.

You need the Tesla app and to create an account in there and then you can see the superchargers that have the magic dock and the pricing. The plug and play, how Tesla vehicles supercharge by just plugging in, is not available yet.

This has nothing to do with Ford, they are misleading and still don't know to support their customers.

There is a Magic Dock thread, many of us have used the chargers successfully.

Download the Tesla app. There is a section on "Charging your Non-Tesla". Set up an account and add a credit card. When you pull up to the charger, open the app and tell it which charging pedestal you are at, plug in. Enjoy the simplicity.

Edit - I see you already have a Tesla. On your main screen, touch the car in the upper right, that is where you'll find the section to charge your "Non-Tesla". I think I still had to add a cc in that section, don't recall that it used the one on my Tesla account.

Thanks Greg, looks easy. I will stop at Verona in a few days to confirm all is well. As for my Y, it was preceded for almost 7 years by our S90d. Our son has that now.
