Tire Rotation - How?

Hello,

Has anyone rotated their own tires? Since there is only one jacking point per corner on a Tesla, I bought some special stands https://jackpointjackstands.com/ that allow you to jack the car up on a plate that is designed to then set down on a special jack stand. The jack stand is too short for the Lightning. I could probably get a normal jack stand on the frame rail next to a jack on the front of the truck but that part of the frame rail isn't double walled next to the jack point. Since the truck is so heavy, I'm fearful or setting it on the stand outside the specified jacking point.

Appreciate learning about your experiences either doing it yourself (which I have always done with all my vehicles) or on taking it your dealer.

AAA contracts with individual service providers in each town. I would complain to AAA about that service provider. The lightning isn't any taller than any other f-150 and certainly has less ground clearance than many other vehicles. That service technician needs to have proper equipment.

Maybe engage your spare tire as part of the rotation so you only need to lift each corner once.

Snow tires on separate wheels...Easy peasy, just have to label where they came from. Otherwise use the spare.

@Discount Tire offers free rotation even if you didn’t buy the tires from them (as in the case with original equipment tires). They even offer Certificates for Repair, Refund or Replacement on OE tires. Think it was about $200 for the 18” Michelins on my Pro.

Ditto on using spare/snow tires - that's what I do. I'm sure I could fit a jack stand and bottle jack in there if wasn't room for a normal floor jack. You can also buy hydraulic jack stands that have a "safety lock" too...example of a cheap Chinese one below.
