That's where I have mine currently (pic attached). However, on a FL and NC trip, I got toll violation notices in the mail. I called PeachPass support, and apparently my charges are being logged by Plate pictures and *not* the transceiver.

I've ordered a new sticker and will try mounting in the black area.

I wouldn't mount it in the black area. Where you have it should work, maybe your sticker is bad.

My NC Quick Pass sticker is mounted approx. 4 inches to the right of the mirror mount and 6 inches below the top of the windshield (2 inches below the dark area). It has successfully read it in both NC and FL. In fact several of the tolls only reported the pass number.

Hope this information is helpful.

That's actually the 2nd sticker. The first one was mounted directly above where the current one is. Same behavior.

For VA EZPass transponder people, there was an earlier thread where someone had reader dropouts when it was mounted above the mirror perpendicular to the road. I think it was solved by putting it on the horizontal.

I’ve not had an issue with the Hershey bar EZPass transponder mounted horizontally above mirror off center a little towards passenger side.

Can one of you post a picture of your pass mounted where it works fine? Should be receiving my EzPass one any day now and would appreciate seeing where it can be mounted without interfering with all the other systems in the vehicle.
I have it mounted here, and have three different ezpass transponders that work without issue.

Has anyone had issues with a toll pass sticker not reading on the lightnings? I've got a Peachpass sticker (GA) and it doesn't seem to be reading through the windshield on my Lariat ER.
No issues with my NY ezpass, NY wouldn't dare miss out on a paymet from it's residents lol

Thanks for all the pics. Very timely. My pass arrived in the mail yesterday.

Not sure why it would matter, but the instructions that came with it state it should be mounted below and to the right of the rearview mirror. Wingfiry, perhaps your issue is because it is mounted in the center?

I mounted my new PeachPass in this location since it seems to work for you. Fingers crossed!
