I have had my truck for a while but I am a rookie at towing with it. I am planning to tow a dump trailer that has brakes. Is the trailer brake controller built in? How do I adjust the braking?

If so you would see the controller and gain adjuster on your dash...

If you have the window sticker, does it show the optional feature?

Thank you, that settles it. I do not have a brake controller and it is not listed on the window sticker. I’m suppose Ford will install one for an arm and a leg…

Or go with a Curt Echo brake controller. Works great and way cheaper.

I didn't have one on my previous 2023 Lariat so I purchased a Blue Tooth Trailer Brake from my local car parts store. Cost $325.00 CDN and worked like a dream. It just plugs-into the truck's electrical tow connector. Then you plug the trailer electrical cable into it. Takes a few minutes to link it up to your phone. The phone then controls the brake sensitivity and manual brake.
