Why not. "So while the rest of the world moves to stake a claim on the future of clean technology, Trump continues to double down on the past"

And in other news: LONDON (Reuters) - "U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright on Monday called a pledge to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050 a "sinister goal", and criticised the British government's attempts to hit clean energy targets.... Wright also used a question and answer session at the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship event to say his number one priority was for the government to "get out of the way" of the production of oil, gas and coal."

I don’t think it’s really as much about his views on EVs but rather DOGE cutting out unnecessary spending. I think the current administration is clearly for all forms of energy including electric vehicles - they just aren’t against fossil fuels like the previous administration- even though that administration promised to “put fossil fuel companies out of business”’ but ended up producing the most amount of oil under any president (2023).

the previous administration capped the tax credit for $80k and under vehicles at a time Ford was selling lariat lightnings over $90k- 1 month later ford dropped the MSRP $10k. Why? It’s all just made up numbers.
How can an ICE f150 be $14k off right now at a dealership without a subsidy- but a lighting is $15k off which includes a $7500 rebate if under $80k- ford is actually discounting a lightning less then an ICE truck and pocketing the extra savings the govt is handing out. Yet a platinum lightning is around $10-$15k off without a tax rebate.

we don’t need a $7500 rebate - the car companies and customers will find the actual price on their own.
