I'd like to fasten an iPad holder to the inside of the upper glove box. Does anyone have photos of behind it or details on how to remove it and put a block behind it so I can put screws through for an iPad holder? I want to make sure I don't damage any airbags, etc.

thanks!

Do not mount anything up there, it would become a very dangerous hazard if the airbags deployed.
So leaving a NACs adapter in there or anything other than napkins and a towel is a bad idea? Hmmmm

Fairly sure the passenger airbags deploy up and over the storage cubby. Doubt any engineer would not account for the storage area. The newer Audis (wife's Q6) has a display built in there so I don't think it would be the worst idea to mount an iPad there. That being said, I wouldn't recommend anything be mounted there.

Real question before you tear into it, that you didn't put in your post, is why do you want to mount an iPad there? Is it just for passenger enteratinment? If so, why not get one of those cup mounts for tablets?

was just an idea for the passenger to help with finding places to stay on the way (road trip June 6th)

So, having a pistol in there is a bad idea?

...and if so, why wound they design a compartment to stash things when airbags can turn those items into projectiles?

that looks like where the airbag would come out of (top of dash)?
Yeah, in the photos by the vendor. For you, I would suggest to open the upper cubby door and mount the suction in there. Wife still gets the ipad in front but away from the path of any airbag deployment.
