Any further updates on this? I too am noticing a buzz/vibration that almost feels like it is vibrating the floor pan at speeds of 50-55 MPH and in a decent cross wind. I don't notice it when there is no cross wind. But the buzz certainly isn't constant as it comes and goes with no rhyme or reason I can detect.

I currently have 2022 Lightning and previously had 2022 Expedition. The vibration is the same on both. Had the tires balanced and rotated then finally replaced the wheels and tires, did not fixed the vibration. On the Expedition, I had changed the trans fluid (12quarts), changed the diff fluid, change the transfer case fluid, did not make a difference on vibration. In my opinion the common thing on these vehicles maybe the cv-axles. The cv-axle may not be balanced properly at the factory. Took it multiple times to the Ford dealership, the tech confirm the vibration, but could not figure it out. I was told other vehicles with the same year and mileage behave the same, so it must be normal.

Hi Eddy! I can look into your Lightning's concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Lightning's VIN?

Thank you Ford for the response. Due to the vibration, I have sold the F150 Lightning. Many consumers of the F150, Expedition and Lightning feel the vibration in their vehicles. There is definitely issues with these vehicles. Since I have owned 2022 Expedition and 2022 Lightning which have different powertrains and yet exhibiting the same vibration, one would wonder which parts are the same between these two vehicles that causes the vibration. Or which vendor supply these parts? Hopefully this issue will be resolve or remedy provided to those who have this issue. Ford is innovative. Ford built the first hybrid SUV, the 2005 Ford Escape, which I have owned. Ford also built the first electric pick-up truck the F150 Lightning., which I also have owned. Innovation is great, but quality should also be part of it. Dealerships are no help. Will consider Ford again in the future.

I posted this on another thread, but wanted to share on this one as i thought the Ford team was not exactly in tune with my concerns.

I had a shudder problem that I was sure would be a structural type issue due to the consistency and severity of the “vibration”. I had already reached out to the Ford Lightning team as I was becoming frustrated. They suggested tire balance/rotation, having it aligned, etc. I was prepared to fight a battle. My 2023 platinum had 49,000 miles. I took it in to an independent but trusted tire facility and when they inspected it pre-balancing. To my surprise, they noticed and showed me that one of the rear tires had a significant “bow” in it-not a typical bubble, but an extended raised area that I had never noticed. After having the tires replaced-the shudder is gone. I’m not suggesting this is everyone’s problem as I have read about the need for some to have thier front motor replaced or something like that. I just wanted to share because when they mentioned tires from the Ford team-I thought they were crazy.

What tire brand did you have? I have goodyear wrangler territory on my 2023 and they have developed vibrations between 40-50mph. At 11,900 miles I had them road force balanced at the dealer twice before the dealer decided it was bad tire(s), they claim the extra weight of being an EV is harder on the tires and can cause premature failing. That was months ago. As of this week the dealer says they are still waiting on a warranty responds from goodyear. I really don't see whats it's taking so long for a resolution. I'm at 15k miles now and tempted to just buy some michelin defenders but would rather not spend the money, especially if it turns out to be a issue other than the tires. I love the truck but it's frustrating.

I had the general tires on mine. Mine had 48000 on them and so they were out of warranty. I heard the same thing about the weight and went with Michelin Defenders. I hope they last, but they come with a 75K warranty and figure the Michelin brand would be my best bet.
