When CBs were in fashion I made a trip home from Chattanooga to Key West every years in late 70s and early 80s at Christmas. Of course we would have a convoy with the lead vehicle carefully making sure we were all complying with the speed limit
Always got to Orlando Area on the FL Turnpike at 2 or 3 in the morning. There was FHP officer that always seemed to be on the CB at that time for many years and he would talk to me and others as we charged down the TP south. In fact, I would always call him and wish him Merry Christmas. I never met him in person but his handle was “Blue Smoke”. First thing that came to mind when I saw my truck being delivered.
My CB handle was “Fearless Leader” which always seemed a bit “Rocky”
