Add some sort of hood on that, and looks.like Santa Cruz sized to me. Just a model, and could even be to throw people off, but can't say I'm in love with it from the model. But full disclosure, I'm not exactly happy with Ford at this point and that could be making me more critical.

Saw a BYD on I-10 this past weekend, while coming back from El Paso. Had a Mexican license plate. I'm not familiar with them enough to know which model it was. I caught the BYD logo and thought it was an OK, ho-hum looking car. If it was the budget model (my suspicion) then I could see it doing about as well as an Elantra or Sentra. It was roughly that size and shape.

If that thing (or it's future version) can fast charge using their new Flash Chargers....yeah it's game over for Ford.

BYD should do a mass marketing blitz in America with messaging showing a long range, fast charging EV for a low price and say things like “this is what the CEOs of Ford and GM are afraid of?! How UnAmerican.” Or “this is what your elected politicians don’t want YOU to have, write them letters and tell them stop telling you what you can and can’t have - make Americans free again!”

I think that would be funny.

According to reliable sources, all BYD’s will be using the new flash charging system with charging roughly 3-4x faster than the Lightning.
