Sounds like a good deal, if you have the risk tolerance to take it on. If it was repaired properly, if could be a jewel.

I have a 2022 Lariat that had all the bells and whistles and has been a solid ride for the past two years. Not a moments problem so far. (Knock on wood).

Of course any vehicle purchase could be an issue these days. So, I’ld say go for it if fits your wants and needs.

There have been at least a few reports on here about screen going black. To me that's a livable condition (as opposed to three module failures). Likely repairing dealer was not competent and owner took advantage of buyback.

You're already getting a good deal but wonder if dealer would throw in the Ford Extended warranty so the screen would be covered for say, 5 years instead of three?

This looks like pretty much the exact Lightning version I have. FYI - I am supremely satisfied with my 2023 XLT 312A with the PowerPro stuff built-in.

WHere are You? Your "me" block doesn't list Your location. Where is the truck? If it's near me, I'll check it out to maybe answer Your questions..

The 8-year warranty is only for battery and EV-specific components. The screen in the XLT is the same one in the gas F-150's. It would be under Bumper-Bumper 3 year.

From Ford:
Our New Vehicle Limited Warranty will help give you peace of mind with the following:
  • Electric Vehicle Component Coverage: Eight years/100,000 miles (whichever occurs first), with retention of 70% or more of the original high voltage battery capacity over that period
  • Powertrain Coverage: Five years/60,000 miles
  • Bumper to Bumper Coverage: Three years/36,000 miles
  • Safety Restraint System Coverage: 5 years/60,000 miles
  • Corrosion Coverage (perforation only): 5 years/unlimited miles
  • Electric Vehicle Roadside Assistance Program: 5 years/60,000 miles
The three modules failures refers to the High Voltage battery. There are 9 battery modules in the pack and they have failed - many lemons are because the owner had multiple failures.

Thanks for taking the time to read and reply. I'm located in South Florida - I have the warranty report, could i upload it here for review? I'm signing documents tomorrow, so I want have all my ducks in a row and I appreciate your time.

Here is specific language from my 2022 Warranty Guide:

Extended warranty coverage periods are available for certain vehicle parts and conditions. Specifically,
(1) Your vehicle's Powertrain components are covered for five years or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first. The extended Powertrain coverage applies to all components of the driveline that are not specifically covered by the Electric Vehicle Component warranty. Powertrain components that receive warranty coverage for five years or 60,000 miles may include gears, differential, shafts, fluid pumps, seals and gaskets, bearings, mounts, drive shaft, retainers, supports, universal and constant velocity joints.
(2) The high voltage battery and eDrive systems of your vehicle are covered by the Electric Vehicle Component coverage for eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. High voltage battery and eDrive components covered by this warranty include the high voltage battery assembly, Bussed Electrical Center (BEC), Battery Energy Control Module (BECM), on-board charger, Inverter System Controller (ISC), DC/DC converter, and eDrive. If a covered component requires replacement under the Electric Vehicle Component warranty, it may be replaced with a new, factory remanufactured, or factory refurbished component, at Ford’s discretion. Refurbished battery components selected for your vehicle will align with your vehicle’s age and mileage and meet Ford’s requirements and standards.

Gotcha. That's a bit far unfortunately... although I happened to have been in Ohio, Michigan and Louisville Kentucky most of last week as it happens. I'm back in Virginia now.
