TCU is unplugged for the evening. Hoping it works in the morning.
I sell Fords, so I activate FordPass in these things all the time. I'm pretty well versed on how to get the damn thing to work when it doesn't want to. That's why my mind is just boggled right now. Again, I really appreciate your help.
Ok, I didnt know. I figured you were a Ford associate of some kind but wasnt sure.

I hope you get it resolved.

No problem

Can confirm that Digital Engine/Coolant temp & Transmission Temp (720-07-01) works;
Any idea what SP1 and SP2 do in this mod?

Anyone else have changes you made with forscan return to the default factory settings? I did the reverse brake assist changes months ago and last night backing into my garage it slammed on the brakes. I turned it off in the settings but the warning now pops up every time I go into reverse. I’m going to change it back but wondering if anyone else had this happen?

I would be willing to bet you got a OTA that wiped your changes. I have yet to get a OTA myself, but I have updated a few modules manually using Ford FDRS. It seems to be hit and miss wether the changes are retained or not. I would assume OTAs would be the same.

I agree but what’s weird is for the past 2 weeks I’ve had an update failed alert on my screen and it’s still there. The alert says some of the modules failed to update.

A - Its just me having a job that allows me to spend all day with these trucks and Ford Products. Plus I have a 2021 STX that is now a lariat. I have done everything you can imagine. I did the 8" to 12" upgrade, I even made it passive entry with push to start, Fixed DSS LED headlamps(Fully Functioning) upgrading to the Adaptive DSS LED soon(Waiting on the height sensors), Wireless charging, rain sensing wipers, 360 Cam, Digital Cluster, Rear Brake assist, Bliss, Power Fold mirrors, Will be adding Adaptive cruise with the hopes of getting Blue Cruise added also. Ive aded the auto dim rear view and side view. Will be adding B&O system and power running boards. I would have added power tailgate but it requires new tailgate. That will be last If I do it.

B - Your Apim is identical to the ones being shipped now. I can confirm this to be true. THe software build 21146 is limited to 21 trucks and 21223 is 21.5 trucks. The modules are different starting in July. The Apim is not one of those that is different though. I have confirmed I can install the 21.5 software on a APIM from early builds.

I believe the blue cruise will be sent out but I do want everyone that has not had any updates to please heed my warning to go get the dealer to update your truck ASAP. A lot of these updates that are rolling out have a prerequisite of the previous updates being installed.

The best thing you can do is get your truck fully updated now. There were MANY updates for early build trucks for modules that I believe to be not OTA capable.

These updates are very clear for the dealer in FDRS> There is a tab after they hook up that will list all the modules that need to be updated. It is clear for them. The IDS way required them to go into every module and see if an update was available.
Awesome build man, sounds like you really know your stuff when it comes to these new trucks. I'm sorta in the same boat as you and would really like to add adaptive cruise to my 501A. Looks like it has been done in the past gen trucks and hopefully can somewhat easily be done with these new ones as well. I've done a little looking into it but I imagine you have a pretty good idea of exactly what would be needed to get it done.

You'd need the adaptive speed sensor and correct front bumper harness of course. Hopefully the current IPMA would get the job done and wouldn't need replaced. Looks like the ABS module might need replaced as well, based of the last gen at least, mainly for stop and go, which I have no desire for, so another one would be curious if it needed replaced as well or not. Curious what you might know so far or if you already have a game plan to add it to yours. Would like to follow along and duplicate the same on my truck as well.

Adding BlueCruise would be flipping awesome as well! But I imagine that will be a whole other can of worms to take on, plus I imagine you need all the park assist sensors plus 360 cameras for that also, but maybe not.

Thank you!

I already added 360.

in process of adding all the front radar and adaptive cruise.
I’ll the the driver and side cams in side of the truck.

I don’t believe I need front parking sensors. As long as I have the front radar modules. Those sensors are more for automated parking

the current ipma may need to be updated to the 21.5. Since I have already upgraded the ipma once it shouldn’t be an issue it’s just way more than the 21 ipma. Blue cruise could be apart of it.

As soon as I get adaptive cruise and lane centering working I’ll report back that it has been

Awesome! Adaptive cruise and lane centering is pretty much exactly what I'm after for right now. My truck is a early 21 so since they've had adaptive since day one, hopefully that means the IPMA doesn't need to be swapped. I'm about to just pull the trigger and order the sensor and harness, plug it in, enable everything for it and see what happens.

I forgot all about the cabin cameras for blue cruise, so that will definitely add to the complexity there, but that is probably a walk in the park for you haha. Only reason I figured parking sensors might be needed as they are required when you spec one out, so figured they might be used somehow, or just since it's pretty much the top option to get, everything else below it just gets to come with it, need or not.

@dmac what are you trying to accomplish? Use the engine audio enhancement for the regular 3.5l ecoboost?

If so, the engine calibrations are in:

727-04-01 xxxx **xx xx

01 is the 3.5l ecoboost

00 is the V8 (no enhancement)
07 is the 2.7l ecoboost

All the other ones on the spread sheet are other engine configs but I haven't bothered to map them out.

Side note: 727-01-01 needs to be xxxx xxxx 1x for the engine sound enhancement to be active.
Hmm. Went to look at this today and it seems that 01 is the config for my powerboost from the factory in 727-04-01 xxxx **xx xx . Appreciate it though.

But Im loving the quiet actually. Especially since I got the new PCM update and my trans is shifting way smoother.

Also wondering if there is any way to have sport mode default to 2H instead of 4A on my lariat. Slippery mode I understand, but sport mode is for fun!

I figured 4A was because all available torqued was too much for the rear diff alone and created too much wheel spin. So the truck was programmed to throttle back to prevent this. 4A allows all torque to get to the ground at once.

I know the numbers don’t support this, but my Powerboost feels like it has twice the power of my ‘17 3.5 EB - and so much smoother!

The wiring would be the entire engine harness and the dash harness.

You would be better off adding it independently. I would be creating a harness to add it after I verify it works.
