IPMA module -made changes based on original backup file 4 days ago. Ran Motorcraft file this morning and compared it to the Motorcraft file I ran prior to making changes. The two Motorcraft files are identical.
1.How long does it take Mothership to update?
2. My truck has never received an OTA, could this be an indication it does not communicate with Mothership? I have set update screen to auto, as well as daily update with no differences. Tried WiFi and cell signal. I am sure I will get it eventually, but so far it has me stumped.
Same here. And with my old APIM I couldn't even enable the auto updates or schedule updates. Was just grayed out.

I think I saw a post somewhere indicating that people with job 1 builds should revert the IPMA or APIM because of a new OTA update? Something about the OTA update bricking the modules, is that true?

There is one change that may cause a DTC in the IPMA if not undone prior to the update. It won't brick the module, and was fairly easy to correct after the fact of I recall.

Thanks for the heads up. I had my IPMA replaced a month ago while the dealer was trying to get the reverse brake assist message to clear. Is it possible that I have a job 2 IPMA now? My cameras at speed still work, but I don't know if its because of that or the Forscan changes I made prior to that.

You would have the same IPMA as before. Cameras at speed would still work because your FORScan changes were uploaded to Ford's servers and applied them to the new module. You shouldn't have to undo those changes either. I had them applied and no issues when I updated.

So do we need to worry about reverting to factory settings when going for a service at the dealer like with the last gen? Or is there a handful of modules that need to reverted that don't update like bcm?
Going in for another APIM swap this week or next.

Anyone recall exactly where in settings or in forscan that automatic heated/ cooled seats etc is controlled? I did a DSM module update and my heated/ cooled seats arent automatic anymore.

Here you go. I bookmarked it here in case I want to apply it at some point.

Sometime during a series of SW updates, not sure exactly which update, I lost Heated Steering and Heated/ Cooled seats functions. The rear heated seat buttons work, they are located on the center console facing the rear seats. The 5 On/Off buttons controlling the Heated Steering wheel and driver /passenger heated-cooled seats do not work. They are side by side and located on the dash underneath HVAC controls. The fact that I lost steering wheel and seat functions at the same time, and the buttons are side by side on the same row, make me think its a single problem.
Using FORScan I have changed AB 720-05-02-5xxx-xx__ to 720-05-02-0xxx-xx__ and then back to AB in an attempt to wake things up. This had no affect. There is a DSC in the IPC
Code: U2100 - Initial Configuration Not Complete
Status:
- Previously Set DTC - Not Present at Time of Request
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp is Off for this DTC
Module: Instrument Panel Control Module
Could this DTC be the issue? I have not been able to clear this DTC using FORScan. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

When I try writing to the IPC module (specifically 720-09-02 to get rid of the pedestrian alarm) I get the following two errors:

Gain security access failed - security key is wrong
Service procedure has been interrupted

Any thoughts here as to what I'm doing wrong? I followed the guides exactly (to my knowledge)

My apologies if this has been asked previously in this thread, I tried searching for it but did not find it

If that is the error you have you may have the issue other have had where one half of the update installed only.

in fdrs when it first loads and lists the modules select ipc

at the bottom there will be a readout of all the info send me a pic of that info I’ll know if I can fix it for you like I have for a few others

I have, this issue was with programming the IPC. I would get those log errors when attempting to write the change.

I tried again last night and it wrote successfully, the alarm is gone (thank god)...not sure what the cause of the error was or exactly what the fix was but hey, when in doubt "reboot" I guess

thx @Jesse-Infotainment , my FDRS license has run out. Been trying to fix this with nano and FORScan. It is time to bite the bullet and get the Mongoose /30 day license?
