  1. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

The first drive after a PCM update (twice so far), I've always had it do that. Not sure what the reasoning is, but it doesn't want to be a full hybrid until it has a drive in, then powers down and everything resets and then truck starts up again.
  2. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

If you're seeing the greyed out update option, you need to follow the TSB to fix it. I don't think there's any other way to reliably get out of that, as you saw yourself. It may come out of that setup briefly, but it will go back eventually.
  3. Installed a New Bak Revolver X4s Tonneau Cover

I installed mine ~1 week after I got my truck as I wanted to get Line-X done first. It has been in since the beginning of August 2021 and still looks basically the same. The shininess of the vinyl has faded some, but it doesn't look faded at all. One of my old coworkers had the X4 and their...
  4. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

For the APIM Sync issue, try to force restart the module with Forscan/FDRS and see if it fixes it. I know with any Forscan change I've made, it needs to be reset to see it, or you have to let the truck sit to fully power down first.
  5. Bluecruise OTA Status?

Looks like it's Texas. I know I've seen as high as 75 in the Midwest.
  6. Installed a New Bak Revolver X4s Tonneau Cover

    1. You could roll it partially, but there's no way to secure it in place. To keep it secure it's either full open or full closed. 2. There are two hand tightened knobs per side to hold it on the rails. It wouldn't be too difficult to remove if you had too. The biggest issue would just be...
  7. Bak X4S airborne

In the directions, it states that some beds require shims as the sides where you mount them aren't parallel. While I didn't have any issues with that, it doesn't mean that every truck will be the same. Given the number of problems you had, are you sure they sent you the correct cover for your...
  8. Bluecruise is upon us!!

The TSB for the update was published late last week, Thursday night or early Friday, not yesterday. Not necessarily old news, but certainly not new either.
  9. Pro Power Ground Locations

If the AC inverter was bonded to chassis ground and there was a fault that sent AC current/voltage to the DC system, that would probably be bad. To me, it would make sense to have it isolated. Especially in the event of an accident so first responders don't get electrocuted.
  10. Catalytic Converter Anti-Theft Device... Really needed?

As I said, you're not getting several grams from a single cat, or even a pair of cats from a car. Did you see how many catalytic converters they had in that video to get 6 grams? And that's assuming they even showed you how many were needed to get that. If you got 1 gram from a pair of cats...
  11. Catalytic Converter Anti-Theft Device... Really needed?

I started my career at a plant that made catalytic converters (even for the F150 at times). Recovery of the prescious metals isn't something you can do at home. Even if you did have the necessary equipment to recover the precious metals, you may get $1-200 AT MOST, likely less, and you'd spend a...
  12. Catalytic Converter Anti-Theft Device... Really needed?

If regulations were in place to require documentation when selling cats to junkyards, etc., to prove ownership of said item(s), how would that not help the situation? If you get rid of the market where thieves are getting their money, why steal something they can't sell?
  13. 2021+ F-150 FORScan List / Database / Spreadsheet ?

I'm not certain, but I think you need to disconnect the PACM regardless of what the default value was.
  14. 2021+ F-150 FORScan List / Database / Spreadsheet ?

Did you unplug the module as well? It was stated in the post that detailed how to do it.
  15. Bluecruise OTA Status?

People were comparing Ford to Tesla, but seem to forget that Tesla had a ~10 year head start for OTA updates. Sure they are pushing them out with no issues now, but I doubt that was always the case. Also, how long have people been waiting for the FSD beta after shelling out several thousand $?
  16. USA made shorty antenna company.

Here is my antenna and as mentioned above, the bottom is ~â…›" to big overall (~1/16" overhang all around). Not huge, but still a minor annoyance.
  17. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

I don't think there '21 Job 1 truck manuals had any details in them about BlueCruise. The update for the owners manual might send down an updated file that has more information on that now that trucks are updated. EDIT: Just logged in to Ford's site and looked and there is a second printing of...
  18. Trailer brake not working

Are we certain that the end of February TRM update doesn't fix the alarm/disconnect issue AND the trailer brake problem? There's no technical reason that one update can't fix a bunch of issues. It would be great if they included the software revision(s) to look for so people could know if they...
  19. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

I just wanted to add that I also reached out to Opus via e-mail and got the same response as @JEB that they are brand specific. While I do question that since it is just supposed to be a communication standard pass-through device, I'm not willing to take a chance given the cost of the cable &...
  20. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Given the cost of the USB-A to USB-A cable and the USB Ethernet adapter, I think I may just buy them at some point to have them on-hand should I need them in the future. Could be $20 now to save me days of headaches down the road.
