As anyone been accepted into PG&E bidirectional (v2x) program yet?

Curious if this thing is real or not or if they're just going to drag their feet. I applied and never heard back.

Not sure if it is the same program, but search PGE and Generlink, you'll find a couple of threads from the last week or two about a meter with a generator plug. Not sure if that is the same program or not.

I was, but I just this week declined my invitation as I didn't want to deal with putting in the ford charger.

I was invited but cannot participate at this time due to having solar on the house. I suppose they aren’t ready for that yet.

Wait what???? Can’t participate cuz of solar? Also what do you mean invited? You filled out the application and they invited or invited you to do the application?

Sunrun called me and asked if I was interested. Infilled out the Ford early access disclosure and registration from a link they sent then they set up a phone call. They assumed I did not have solar for some reason. Once I told them that then they said I would have to wait until they were approved to also run with solar.

Sounds like Sunrun doesn't want to do this unless they can also sell you a new solar system. You can buy the equipment from Sunrun and hire your own electrician to do the install.

About solar and storage-to-grid:

Some Sunrun salespeople came by my house a while ago and said they might be interested in having me join some sort of program where they installed a battery on my house, a battery which they would own and PG&E would control to deliver electricity at high rates for data centers and the like. Part of the attraction was apparently that my house has a solar system to feed their battery. There was talk of incentives if one was accepted to that program.

I began asking whether I could just buy a battery and participate in such a program, what it costs to buy gear, etc. and they claimed that only companies such as theirs, not individuals, were eligible. I also pointed out the large storage battery sitting in the driveway, which they mostly ignored as a possible part of whatever program they were promoting.

They've since disappeared without a trace.
