The chargers are being shut down. Unusable.
Why?
It cost tax dollars to install them, what is wrong with just letting them run now that these were installed?
If they don't want to build any more, then don't, but allow the ones they paid to install to run.
Shutting them down cuts off any potential repayment of the initial cost to build them. And in the case of Gov EV's now instead of paying utility rate to charge them, they will pay fast charger rates? costing far more?
Or sell them off flooding the market with too many all at once which will lower the salvage value and cost even more tax dollars - is this is how you reduce tax-waste?

appeasement phase
yup! but how will it turn out??

The dictionary defines appeasement as the attempt to bring about a state of peace, quiet, ease, or calm. In history, however, the word usually refers to the unsuccessful effort by British prime minister Neville Chamberlain to keep Adolph Hitler from starting World War II.

there will be 10,000? low mileage Lightnings & other EV's coming into the used market?
If they are, then as consumers, we can expect the "flood" of used EV's all at once to lower the cost of all EV's for a short period of time. (yes an exess of used EV's will also lower the selling price of new EV's since excess supply will lower the price consumers will be willing to pay). Bad for Ford and others on the supply side, good for us as consumers, although these are typically very short term.
A Buyers market - take advantage while/if you can.

Now for the nut-kicker, the revenue to salary efficiency of an auditor or collector was at a minimum of 10 to 1 to as high as 50 to 1 depending on the case work and compliance failures in certain parts of the nation.

I'm failing to see the EFFICIENCY in this decision to discharge probationary staff.
My thoughts are that the politicians who made these decisions are also possibly some of the biggest tax cheats. They are the the ones who want less Revenue Officers to look into their questionable tax returns.

I for one HAVE NEVER worried about getting audited since I don't cheat. In the 60+ years of filing my personal tax returns, only once did I get a letter from the IRS with a legitimate question about my return. Then again I didn't go bankrupt 6 times and I didn't screw my creditors.

DOGE isn't tasked to improve revenue. They are tasked to reduce spending. Spending is only one side of the T Chart.

Because they were put in by the prior administration and the current administration doesn’t believe in it. They’re shut off in all GSA owned buildings and are therefore unusable for govt vehicles or for paying customers who are visiting the building. The only caveat to that is if the agency paid for the ev charger directly, then the agency can keep it on at its own choice.

You’re asking me why? It’s the government. Currently operating in insanity mode.

Correct but it says private vehicles won’t be able to going forward. Not saying this is an issue per se just interesting why they included private vehicles right next to govt vehicles. maybe private vehicles pay but won’t be able to use going forward but that makes so sense. But there’s a lot of things that don’t make sense in our govt.

if any govt employee in Virginia /Washington has a firm answer on this vs speculation.
There are 6.6 kW ChargePoint chargers on the White House grounds that charge $1.14/hour. That works out to about 17 cents/kWh.

You are looking at the wrong side of the ledger. If you are an unpatriotic tax cheat, it is much more efficient to not have revenuers poking around your business.

Yes, he is missing the point of these changes. It is like eliminating the CFPB (Consumer Protection). Especially if you want X to be an everything Ap. After-all it roots out real fraud and returned $21B back to the public!

23 Lightning, it's electrifying (and discontinued)
The fact that anyone can believe a sieg heil throwing person has good intent, defies logic. Anything a nazi supports needs to be evaluated, to say the very least.

If you think anything good is going to come out of this group I have a college diploma and some steaks to sell you.

The last coming flood was when Hertz sold off their fleet of Teslas (renting an electric car, not my idea of fun).
I don't pay any attention to the used market, but I don't think it was terrible for the used market.
