Not to be pedantic but a huge reason I wanted an EV (besides fuel cost) was a frunk and not having to worry about the power plant under the hood. I'm done with the oil changes.

Yes, early reports said it's a Pentastar V6. 130 kW. It's for towing, so weight doesn't matter much.So the generator can create enough electricity to run in real-time? It must be a pretty decent sized generator (aka heavy).
I'm not intending to reopen this thread, other than to say: Mountain Alive hit the nail on the head, and deserves an award for fortune telling.I’d wager that Ford is going to go the EREV route like this when (if ?) they do a F150 Lightning refresh in 2028. They’ll then offer the fully BEV version of a pickup with a smaller, ranger sized truck.
