You are telling me that with sales of just one year, the cybertruck had 8 recalls, motors failing all over the place, parts flying off, and that it's the lightning that is the most unreliable. I have owned my Lightning for almost a year now and I have never had to bring it in even once. Just look at all the truck review sites who tests and owns then all like "Out of Spec","JerryRigEverything","State of Charge".

The F150 has been out for decades and has a huge passionate base that enjoys talking about trucks, where as most of the other "trucks" are just startups. That is why there is a huge active forum following. If you are going to base your assessment on forums where people like to complain, it's your loss. Hopefully you enjoy whatever truck you get.

Bingo and that is why you are making a bad bad decision. Invest that $10,000 you are writing a check to your lender to get out from under a depreciated asset.

Guess what, my lightnings funds work for me and I happily pay the payment each month because what I could pay off is invested. Something you could be doing with that $10,000 but you would rather sell something now that you knew was going to be worth only $10-$15,000, at 12 years anyway.

You made a bad decision that is great, but that one is on you. Let me say it one more time, it is a depreciating asset, of course you are losing money by selling it….?‍

If that was the reason why you were selling it that is great and an applaud you for taking a move to financially protect you and your family.

Believe me, I would and will sell my Lightning before burning my cash or investments if say I couldn’t make the payment in the long term.

I did that with my Silverado at the Great Recession. Lost the job, sold the truck, bought a used Camry drove it until timing was right and bought what I wanted again which ultimately led me to being able to buy my Lightning. Making smart financial decisions based on your circumstances that you don’t need to share here, is great! ?

So again, i applaud you if you would rather take that one off hit to protect your long term.
