Only time I have seen that low is off-road driving up to mountaintop radio sites. And doing that is much less. 10 miles of crappy mountain dirt road with about 4,000 foot elevation gain resulted in 0.5 mi / KWH yesterday with several hundred pounds of stuff in the bed, both seat heaters, steering wheel heat, and moderate cabin heat. On the other hand, coming back down the battery percentage went up by 1%

Lifetime (2,900 miles), I am at 2.3 mi / KWH including several mountaintop trips. My 26 mile drive home from work usually is a little over 3 mi / KWH.

That "little over 3 mi/kWh is driving your 2.3.

New 2024 lightning Flash. Only 2 months since I got it and am disappointed with the numbers I see as far as how efficient it is. I realize road conditions weather etc can effect. All OEM stock on my truck no mods. I am seeing an average of 1.4 kwm. My driving is in town and freeway n an empty truck. I would regularly see 3 and above on my Ionic 6. I understand very different vehicles. Reading posts here guys are saying 2, 2.1 average kwm. While not new to ev driving new to ev trucks. Any ideas on how to improve my truck’s efficiency?
Well, I'm from El Sobrante, just the other side of the hills from you. I have a 23" XLT 311a build, I routinely get 2+m/kW. I keep it below 70 when traveling Hwy 4.

Highway driving kills your efficiency. City driving with massive traffic jam helps it! Which is very funny as it is the opposite of what you get with ICE vehicles. It is a learning curve with this truck, an enjoyable one.
As far as OP issue goes 1.2 mi/kwh is low for a stock truck. With a level kit + 35" BFG K02 I'm averaging 2.0 mi since the beginning of my ownership (1300 miles). So either you have a lead foot or something is up with your HVB usage.

Typically, Around town (ES) I get 2.1 up to 2.8+ m/kw.
And I have a spread sheet, for my charging (had the same spread sheet for my 06" 4x4 taco) m/kw.
That is 5577m/2507kWh...2.22m/kW

That is close if not a bit more than I get. The only way to get to 2 is going with a 10-15 mph wind.

No, nothing is wrong. Your highways aren't flat there. Go do the same 40 mile trip, same speed, in the same conditions, on totally flat roads. You will get around 2.

This is normal.

What kind of driving do you usually do? Do you have a short commute?

A short commute where the HVAC is bringing your cabin up to temperature would skew the numbers lower. But if you have a short commute it doesn't matter what your efficiency is.

I did a 350 miles round trip mostly hwy 4 days ago @ 70mph with BC, with AC on lowest AUTO 72F and outside temp in the 80s. Some elevation along the way. My average was 1.6m/kwh. I would expect a stock lightning to do close to 2miles at the same speed. So you are close.

Ya, I rarely use my HVAC, if it's cool out I use the heated seats, and enjoy a open window when warm out and on local roads. The HVAC will suck kW's and tank your m/kW

?You may want to have it checked out. I average 1.9 mi/kWh during the winter months here in Maryland. That includes hauling tools in the frunk.
