I’m compiling a verified list of Ford rotary shifter part numbers that are motorized. Specifically, I’m looking to confirm which part numbers actually include an internal motor and rotate themselves into Park when the vehicle is turned off.

The current working theory is that part numbers starting with LX6P or LX6Z typically refer to motorized rotary shifters. These are commonly used in 2020–2022 Escape, Bronco Sport, and others.

I’m hoping to collect real-world confirmations so we can build a reliable cross-reference list for retrofits and replacements.

If you’ve used one of these parts, please reply with the following:

  1. Part number (example: LX6P-7P155-EH)
  2. What vehicle it came from (year and model)
  3. Whether it is confirmed to be motorized (yes/no)
  4. Any other notes (source, behavior, fitment issues, etc.)

Motorized Rotary Shifters (self-park when powered off)

Part NumberConfirmed ByNotes
LX6P-7P155-EDBelieved motorized
LX6P-7P155-EE@Ajzride Confirmed motorized
LX6P-7P155-EH@Drayday55Confirmed motorized
LX6P-7P155-HE@jmyer72Confirmed motorized
LX6P-7P155-HG@digitaldadConfirmed motorized
LX6P-14G395-AB@AjzrideConfirmed motorized
LX6Z-7P155-BBelieved motorized
LX6Z-7P155-MBelieved motorized
LX6Z-7P155-UBelieved motorized

Non-Motorized Rotary Shifters

Part NumberConfirmed ByNotes
PZ1P-7P155-AC@TheWeathermanConfirmed non-motorized, has lighting
LJ9Z-7P155-D@farmtruckMach-E style, confirmed non-motorized

Check out @Mike G 's install method here - This is the best way I have seen it done so far if you care about keeping all your clips intact.

Please add any others you’ve verified, or correct anything above if you’ve found otherwise. Once we gather enough data, I’ll update the first post with a full list of confirmed motorized part numbers.

Worth a read before ordering to make sure you get the updated part https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...pressed-transmission-remains-in-park-p.21849/

Thanks in advance for contributing.

Interesting. I went back to see what I purchased and installed and don’t find numbers that correspond to the ones you’ve listed.

2020 2021 2022 Ford Escape shifter gear selector knob switch PZ1P-7P155-AC

It works perfectly fine. It does not have motorized return to park, but it does have the blue accent lighting at its base.

I bought the same one which is what started this whole thing. I didn't realize there is a motorized version that doesn't continue scrolling once you reach the end of the "Gears". The motorization is just a "cool to have". The prices (and availability) are just all over the place and wanted to create a reference so people can find the features they want and find a good price based on what is being listed.

LJ9Z-7P155-D is non-motorized.
It is from a 21 Mach-E.
It will set the park brake if you open a door or power down while in gear.

I'm honestly surprised the Mach-e's don't use them since they are usually more likely to get the "High tech" components by default compared to ICE.

Is there a benefit to the motorized ones or just a neat feature? Just wondering if it's another thing to "break". I'm looking at doing this mod but haven't made the jump yet. Looking to find a decent priced shifter and appreciate the compilation of this list to be able to reference.

Maybe the grass is always greener, but I’d rather have a NON motorized (but lit) version. I have the motorized version installed. Would be nice if a list were compiled for both types.

I've added non motorized to the bottom of the original post.

The motorized one stops when you hit the end of the gear selection. Its just preference.

so the non motorized just continues to spin? Does it go past drive and start back at park? Or just stops at drive but continued to spin?

You can continue to spin it after you hit drive. I would have to check if it stops going left once you hit park. Guessing it would from the park safety.

It doesn't skip from drive to park.

Could you tell me if you have any of the issues with this Mach E shifter as discussed in posts 203 and 204 here https://www.f150lightningforum.com/...d-printed-rotary-shifter-holder.25541/page-14 ?

Based on those posts, it seems the shifter has basic functionality, but that you’d lose some features with it.

Thanks in advance!
The only issues I've had is that it sets the park brake if you open a door or power down while not in park. When I go to move again I have to manually release the park brake.
The auto hold switch works correctly on mine.
The L button does work to lock the vehicle in neutral for extended periods. I specifically check this after installation because there has been discussion about how the L or M buttons work when replacing the lever.

On mine, the knob will spin infinitely spin either direction if you are in R, N, or D. If I am in park, the knob will not spin either direction unless the correct parameters have been met to shift out of park. If I am in park with the brake pressed, I can spin the knob counterclockwise. It will remain in park if I do this. If I am in gear and spin counterclockwise, the knob will turn infinitely until I stop. It will then shift to park and the knob will lock.
