OEM Hankook tires

Does anyone who’s had the outer treadwear issue on the OEM HANKOOK ATs try their luck with a warranty claim?

I previously got Bridgestone a few years back to honor a warranty on the OEM Jeep gladiator tires. I ended up saving about 50% on another set of Bridgestone’s.

I absolutely love my truck. But my 2022 Lariat Lightning has 22,000 miles on it and all 4 tires are Hankook dynapro and came from the Ford factory. The inner and outer edges of all 4 tires are worn bald. Inflation is kept to 47-51 psi. Took it to the local dealer for recall work and showed them the tires. Ford said Hankook considers this normal wear and won't warranty or pro-rate. Anyone else having this issue?

I started noticing the wear on the outer edges of the the factor Hankook tires and had them rotated every 5,000 miles. I ran them at 40PSI. I had to replace them at 27,000 miles and $1700 later I now have Michelin Defenders.

Door jam recommends 36 pissys.... running them that high, while in tolerance of the tire rating, may be not doing things in your favor.

Also, the all-terrain option was $150 when ordered.

I ordered mine in January of 2022 and paid $400 for the AT upgrade. I have the receipt to prove it. Received the truck in May 2022.

I switched to Michelin Defender Platinum LT265/60R20 and haven't looked back. 70k mile, super quiet, EV truck heavy duty certified. Love them.

I went to Cosco and they sell the Defenders, but not the Defenders Platinum. I'm wondering why would they sell the Defender LTX M/S2, but not the Platinum version.

I love the Michelin defender platinum tires. Still have them on the truck after 30,000 miles and they still look brand new. They are very very quiet. They are heavy but honestly in an electric vehicle once it's rolling it's fine. Plus I have light weight wheels which offsets that completely. Highly recommended over the squishy and loud Hankooks.

Just over 9,000 miles on my stock Hankook DynaPro AT2's and the outer tread edge of both front tires is smooth like several others have posted here around 20k miles. From the first day I drove the truck, I felt the undesirable squishy/Buick like ride of these tires, and they have not performed well in the wet either. Hankook customer service claims they haven't heard of this on F-150 Lightning models but goes on to explain that the AT2 Extreme might be a better tire for my truck.... but doesn't even mention the new Ion HT that is supposedly "made for F150 Lightnings and Rivian R1Ts.
Out of all the tire options currently available, I'm liking the E load range Bridgestone Dueler AT Ascent in LT275/65R20.
