Does anyone who’s had the outer treadwear issue on the OEM HANKOOK ATs try their luck with a warranty claim?

I previously got Bridgestone a few years back to honor a warranty on the OEM Jeep gladiator tires. I ended up saving about 50% on another set of Bridgestone’s.
Ford said they would prorate the tires but they had to put the same tire back
Ford said they would prorate the tires but they had to put the same tire back on, at a cost of $701.00 to me. Instead I bought a set of Toyo Open Country AT3 EV tires. I couldn't be happier.

I absolutely love my truck. But my 2022 Lariat Lightning has 22,000 miles on it and all 4 tires are Hankook dynapro and came from the Ford factory. The inner and outer edges of all 4 tires are worn bald. Inflation is kept to 47-51 psi. Took it to the local dealer for recall work and showed them the tires. Ford said Hankook considers this normal wear and won't warranty or pro-rate. Anyone else having this issue?
I started noticing the wear on the outer edges of the the factor Hankook tires and had them rotated every 5,000 miles. I ran them at 40PSI. I had to replace them at 27,000 miles and $1700 later I now have Michelin Defenders.

Door jam recommends 36 pissys.... running them that high, while in tolerance of the tire rating, may be not doing things in your favor.

Also, the all-terrain option was $150 when ordered.
I ordered mine in January of 2022 and paid $400 for the AT upgrade. I have the receipt to prove it. Received the truck in May 2022.

I switched to Michelin Defender Platinum LT265/60R20 and haven't looked back. 70k mile, super quiet, EV truck heavy duty certified. Love them.

I went to Cosco and they sell the Defenders, but not the Defenders Platinum. I'm wondering why would they sell the Defender LTX M/S2, but not the Platinum version. 🤔

Any noticeable milage/range difference rolling the Defenders?

I love the Michelin defender platinum tires. Still have them on the truck after 30,000 miles and they still look brand new. They are very very quiet. They are heavy but honestly in an electric vehicle once it's rolling it's fine. Plus I have light weight wheels which offsets that completely. Highly recommended over the squishy and loud Hankooks.

Just over 9,000 miles on my stock Hankook DynaPro AT2's and the outer tread edge of both front tires is smooth like several others have posted here around 20k miles. From the first day I drove the truck, I felt the undesirable squishy/Buick like ride of these tires, and they have not performed well in the wet either. Hankook customer service claims they haven't heard of this on F-150 Lightning models but goes on to explain that the AT2 Extreme might be a better tire for my truck.... but doesn't even mention the new Ion HT that is supposedly "made for F150 Lightnings and Rivian R1Ts.
Out of all the tire options currently available, I'm liking the E load range Bridgestone Dueler AT Ascent in LT275/65R20.

I'm not even sure if Michelin makes the Platinum version anymore. Can anyone confirm this? I will call Michelin sometime this week.

Have you tried bumping the tire pressure? I also didn't like the overly floaty feel and was surprised that the app suggested 36psi all around. I bumped up to 45psi and the ride, while still floaty, is not as floaty. Wear is more even as well, I don't have the bald outsides of the tread face which is a classic sign of an under inflated tire if both the inner and outer ridges are worn together.

Hankook tires are garbage (same with Kuhmo).
I agree. I had hankook tires on my old truck and hated them. They didn’t handle well at all. Went back to Goodyear tires The Goodyear tires handle much better. I have OEM Goodyear tires on my 23 Lighting and they handle great. Since when did Ford switch to south Korean tire hankook as OEM tires?

I've been rolling with the 36 psi recommendation. You're saying that that might be too little pressure? That's why I'm always a little skeptical about the door jam label. Over the years, there will be many different tires from different brands, makes and models. How can one sticker represent any tire that is on the vehicle at any given point in time? One would think that the manufacturer of said tire would know better as to what the proper tire pressure should be.

I will bump up the pressure a little and see if there's a difference.

Thanks.
My 23 lightning OEM tires are Goodyear and they recommend as well as the ford app on my phone says 42 psi cold. I’ve always run my tires at minimum of 40 psi even when the tire said 32 on the sidewall. I get better mileage they handle better and I never have had any wear issues on any of my trucks in 40 years of driving trucks.

I have 20k plus on mine and it looks like they'll go at least 30k perhaps further. mostly in town, not much freeway. (36PSI)

I've got General Grabbers on both 2022 & 2023 ER Lariats. 27K miles on one and 35k miles on the other. They both look like they'll make 40k. The 2022 with 35k has been on a couple of 4k road trips, one hauling a trailer. I'm quite surprised by how well they're holding up, generally don't get more than 25k miles from OEM tires.
