Just installed the recently launched Pirelli Scorpion XTM All-Terrain Tire with gas and EV variants. 34" Tires on 20" wheels.

Another small efficiency update where battery and motor temps were at normal levels, speed was around 40 miles per hour driving to and from one side of town to another side of town using city streets.

I got between 2.3 mi/kWh and 2.5 miles per kWh when driving around 35- 40 - 45 miles per hour and mainly around 40 mph.

Keep in mind, my tire pressure was still 3-4 lbs low when hot. I expect slightly better numbers once tires are inflated to 50 lbs.

I’ll give another update once I can get my tires to 50 lbs hot. I don’t feel like using the compressor in the car and rather use the self-serve nitrogen tire pump from Costco at no charge.

This is interesting data. I'm interested to see how they perform in winter conditions compared to the Nokian Outpost. The tread wear has been amazing on these for me, but I'm lucky if I get 1.7-1.8 on the HWY with mine.

I got pretty much the same efficiency as stock or slightly/barely better with XTM AT versus stock Pirelli Scorpion AT+

I am running them at 48 psi - 50 psi and sometimes as high as 52 PSI after a long drive.

Here is my most recent run where I charged to 100% and took a long trip around town.

I am charging it back to 100% to see how much electricity is actual replenished.

Primarily 153.6 miles Highway Driving

Mix of 85% highway and 15% city on Pirelli XTM AT.

Stock Efficiency over 28,637 miles is 2.02 kWh

I swapped out the SL XTM AT with Toyo AT III EV SL to make sure I can safely inflate my vehicle to the minimum specs.

I would recommend waiting for the LT version of XTM AT which can handle more weight / pressure.

I chose the Toyo Open Country AT III EV tires because of the 116H rating / AT EV tires / Price.

I had to work with an associate at Discount Tire after ordering the tires to get them from a different store and have them shipped via Fedex next day at no charge. These SL tires are in low stock compared to the LT version

The 1-5 days shipping time was accurate for me. I did call my local store to make sure they can order it or get it from another warehouse / store.

Here is the initial pictures from the install.

Just driving 4 miles I got 1.92 mi per kWh. I would expect this to go up once I’ve driven 20+ miles instead of short trips.

I’ll drive more tonight and report back with proper efficiency numbers and once i get all tires to 50 lbs hot.

Its been some time since your last update. Any new info, can you say which one you prefer (Toyo vs Pirelli's)?

Stock Pirelli Scorpion AT+ did a great job with handling on road and cornering grip. They worked fine for light off-roading but some folks mentioned the snow handling was not best.

Pirelli XTM: I had these for a short amount of time but from what I can tell they tend to perform a little better in cornering compared to Toyo.

Toyo Open Country AT III EV: Good all around performance for on-road / off-road and snow. I prefer the cornering / on-road grip from the original stock Pirelli Scorpion AT+. These are the tires I have on currently I am happy with them for the most part. I might look into a dedicated set of Michelin ultra high performance tires / 22" wheels for when I want extra grip on-road.

You need to specifically look at the tires and the technology used to see if they are the ELECT version.

Ok got it. Apparently they are releasing the 116T rated version of this tire in 275/60R20 this coming winter so I'll wait for those. Should be 5 to 10 lbs lighter.

The fact that these have the 3 Peak Snow rating is laughable and just goes to show what a load of shit that rating is. Probably great for Arizona/Texas snow falls, otherwise it looks like another brodozer tread pattern with not enough sipes.
