I went ahead and bit the bullet and paid the eye watering price for the column conversion kit because I like it enough to pay the premium for the custom harness and mounting bracket that infotainment provides along with the parts. After installing the column shifter and running the harness I finally start up the truck and to my absolute disappointment I get a "SHIFT SERVICE FAULT SERVICE REQUIRED" error on the dash. Despite this I am able to shift into gear and move forward and backwards, go into neutral, and the M button even activates the 30 minute neutral. The shifter also automatically moves into park like the regular shifter does when you open the door without a seatbelt on in drive. Using Forscan I see a bunch of codes that the gear shift module is not communicating and even removing the codes they return again so something is definitely wrong. Turning off the truck and walking away from it and coming back actually causes it to freeze up and the dash screen and radio stays black despite pressing the on button. The truck basically gets bricked with the DRL lights on until I use the emergency latch and open the frunk and disconnect the battery and reconnect it (not sure the exact cause of this but it happened twice during my trouble shooting). After one of these events the truck will refuse to turn on even if you reconnect the stock shifter unless you clear all the codes or disconnect the battery for a minute again (I discovered the cause of this was disconnecting the gear shifter right after turning it off, it seems to cause the entire truck to freak out. Gonna try to avoid doing that). Connecting the stock shifter or even a rotary shifter I get none of these codes. I have a strong feeling this is probably an issue in the shifter itself or the harness they provided is not wired correctly somewhere.
I am mostly writing this to see if anyone else got the kit and had any success installing it without issue. I have a 2024 F-150 Lightning Flash trim.
I have reached out to infotainment so hopefully they get back to me by tomorrow. In the mean time I reinstalled the center console shifter.

After a not so great customer service experience over email with Infotainment followed by a much better experience over the phone from Daniela ( I should have just called from the beginning) I got the correct part and I have sent back the incorrect shifter. Turns out I got sent a 2024 shifter which has ford's TRON encryption which was causing my truck to freak out and basically brick itself until I disconnected the 12v battery. Now that I installed the 2023 column shifter it works perfectly without a single issue. The M button even acts as the 30 minute neutral button from the stock shifter so all functionality is retained. The plus and minus buttons that would have been regularly used for changing gears in an ICE truck are non-functional though they do say they are working on adding functionality in the future. No codes after driving and shifting a lot over the weekend. The bracket that attaches the column shifter seems sturdy and well built. I will say the part looks like it was 3D printed but its clearly high quality. I was able to flex it and remove it after having put it on and noticed no cracks or warping. It feels like a production level piece and the fact that I could take it off and put it back on and notice no damage to the piece itself gives me confidence it will last.
Overall really happy with how it came out and I definitely recommend it if you are really wanting a column shifter over the stock shifter and want more space in the center console area.
