Lost SXM Tune Start

A few weeks ago I appear to have lost the ability to have a song start from the beginning when tuning to a new favorited channel on SXM. I turned the option in settings off and on several times the past few day sand it's still not working. I also posted this over on Reddit and someone else was running into the same issue.

Anyone have some insight here?

Do you have the SXM app on your phone?

Try tweaking the preferences there, some of the functionality bleeds over to my truck via android auto, I hadn't noticed if music cut's play mid-stream or roll back to beginning lately, I'll pay closer attention.

That's something I could certainly check but I haven't used the SXM app in years because it's designed like absolute trash.

Its a config thing.. have you had any updates recently? SOmetimes updates reconfigure things wrong.

The old app was pure trash, lately it's improved, the nice thing about having it on the phone is it seems to facilitate some extended channel selections that are "app only", even though I don't actually use the android SXM app directly in the truck, though I do use in on my Road Glide all the time.

I checked out my Lightnings integrated SXM app, when I change channels, the broadcast may roll out the tail end of a song or channel identifier before rolling into the next cut, this seems to vary by channel, I have the tune start setting on, I'm hesitant to switch it off for experimentation purposes and find myself trapped like you and the reddit users.

It started happening about a month before I got the blue cruise 1.4 update. So perhaps one of the prep updates tripped it. Is there anything I can do in Forscan to fix it?

I’ll have to give the app another try at work one day this week, but I’m glad to know it’s improving.
