Probably neither. Both require cellular connection. You might want to consider a cell booster.

I mean the ratings are kinda low but pretty much what you're looking for, it needs to be AT&T compatible. Personally I use a Cel-Fi Go X G32. Although I'd classify it as very expensive, it's also very good at it's job. Went from can't hold a phone call to using a setup Hotspot

Ok looks like this was a false alarm in my case. Out of sheer coincidence it looks like the FordPass app was having a bad day when I first parked at the new house and I assumed it was the house location having a weak signal since my iPhone also showed a weak cell signal. You could be between towers and the first time you tried you were (the truck was) still connected to the weaker tower, it happens. I don't know the exact numbers but cell radios tend to be 'sticky', only switching to a better tower when it's of clear benefit to it. Prevents connection overhead and dropped call potential.
