I got in my truck a few days ago and found this message on my screen. The truck was off when I left it. It started just fine and this message went away. Has anyone seen this before or know what it's telling me? The only thing I can think of is that the 12v battery may be failing? Weird.

Mine did that a couple days ago when I went to start it. 12v was around ~60% in Car Scanner. Had just charged it the night before and was showing 100% when I went to bed.

I have no idea what % my 12v battery is at. It's the original battery from about 2½ years ago when I bought the truck.

I have been getting that message intermittently for a couple months now. Only impact I have seen is that I had my first update fail for a low 12V battery.

Wouldn't hurt to stop by an auto parts store and ask them to test your 12v battery.

There's a couple options to see it's charge level. You can use an ODBII reader (cheap ones work just fine, I paid $15 for mine) and an app like CarScanner. You can use a 12v adaptor that plugs into the 12v socket in the cab and gives you the voltage. Or you can use a multimeter and check the voltage directly.

If you want to go all out, there are BlueTooth monitors you can attach that will give you a log of the charge status.

stupid question, but can they check this battery without removing it from the truck since it's behind the little door in the frunk?

No idea. I haven't had a check done yet.

Mine started doing that. 12 V battery tested fine. I asked ford to replace the 12 V battery anyway, they did, and it went away.

My 2023 has started doing that ever since the temp dropped in PA. 12 volt battery is going on three years, and I'm due for inspection in February, with a few ski trips planned later in the month. I'm gonna have it replaced just as a precaution. It'll be 3 years old with 54k miles on it and won't owe me anything by then.

If you get this message once in a while, drive on. If you get it regularly, replace your 12v battery. The cold reduces 12v battery efficiency, so the truck will draw down the 12v SOC faster in the winter. This message will show up in winter more often, especially on an older battery. 3 years seems to be the 12v lifespan for most, so if you are around that or older, and getting this message periodically, it is time.

Reading the 12v SOC after the fact isn't that useful since the truck charges the 12v from the HVB (or EVSE if plugged in) when it issues this message. An hour after the message, the 12v is at 100% SOC.

My 24 Flash has been frequently going into battery saver since TCU-25.2.8.5 update. Also doesn't acknowledge the ok prompt to resume Sport mode. When I have checked the 12v battery it shows 100% health % state of charge. I did a soft reboot of Sync and disconnect of the battery to reset. Today I am trying the BMS reset. If that doesn't help I am forced to do the dreaded Dealer alternative to resolve the issue. Hate to go that path due to having to turn it over to them for at least a day or possibly longer for resolution.

Dealer load test failed even with battery showing 14v and 100% state of health. Replacement should be here Monday.

How are you guys seeing the 12V State of Health?. This parameter has eluded me. I can see SOC but not SOH

I am using Viking handheld battery tester. Specifically for AGM battery. Dealer used a much more expensive tester that showed a healthy battery until they load tested and it immediately failed. Warranty is going to replace for free. My truck purchased in December of 24.
