So this appears to be unique to Job 2 2025 Flash. I have a database of 100 Lightning As-Builts. Approach Lighting is enabled for 24-25 Flash except the 2025 Job 2 Flash with the 123 kWh battery (8th character of VIN is "U").

Enabled: 22-23 XLT 312A. all Lariat and Plat, 24-25 Flash w/131 kWh battery (8th character of VIN is "7")
Not enabled: All Pros and XLT 311A, 2025 Job 2 Flash.

P.S. Battery Size determination post here.
Seems like such a minor thing to not have enabled from the factory. The fob detection isn’t perfect. Occasionally it doesn’t kick the lights on, but overall it’s nice to have it enabled.

I’d like to understand the exact changes you made so I can put in post 1. Do you have the before and after Save files from Forscan you can DM me? I have the APIM but for BCM you mentioned easy mode. The Save file will show exact changes.

Hey Everyone, I just picked up my first lightning last Friday, love the truck. I just did the adaptive lights, and removed the start up seatbelt chime, and removed the double honk. Thank you for everyone over the years who put in the legwork to figure these values out!

Did anyone ever manage to figure out how to get the propulsion sound on non-platinums yet?

Welcome to the forum.
I don’t think anyone has figured out the Plat propulsion sound. My understanding is that is an interior sound for the entertainment of passengers and is not external.
There was a separate attempt to get different sounds on the external pedestrian speaker.

Update: followed instructions here and Approach Lighting is now working, and I have the toggle in the Settings - Lighting sub-menu as well.

I found it very odd that when I review the Ford order sheet, changes to Job 2, for my 2025 everything stacks up properly (such as no phone charger, no console work platform, no step tailgate or work area liner, etc.) except the mention of "Passive Entry with Approach Detection." However, enabling the Approach Detection items in the Body Control Module, and making the change to enable Approach Lighting works perfectly.

Weird, to say the least ... but I'm happy now!! Yeah, I know this is such a minor thing ... but where we park the truck in our driveway is very dark at night and having the lighting come on as we walk up is very convenient!!

Cheers!!

Ken

Thanks everyone. This is a super helpful thread as I am new to FORScan. I am planning to get a FORScan setup soon based on this thread.

I do have a question for those who are experienced in FORScan...can I remove a specific programmed key fob using FORScan? I have a older Lightning key fob that I programmed before finding out that the '24+ Lightning switched frequencies. So that older key fob doesn't work and is taking up a key fob allowance.

According to a Ford dealership, they would need to remove all key fobs and re-programmed all the key fobs. Don't know if that is true.

That is correct. It's an interior sound . The pedestrian sound outside works fine and is mandated by law. I dont mind the way that one sounds. I just really want to get the interior propulsion sound.

Sorry for the slow reply. I have the before file from my BdyCM, but I didn't save an after. I'll plug into it tomorrow and save it.

But here's what I did:

Awesome thanks. I confirmed looking at six 25 Flashes (three Job 1 and three Job 2) those values are different. I'll add to post 1.

No problem. :) Also, I fixed my post. Realized I left out which block it was for the APIM.

Also, of note, that block for the APIM, the 7 will depend on other settings. I was referencing the table that @carys98 posted. It was a 7 for me because I also had courtesy wipe and driver alert system enabled. It would be different for someone with a different combination of those enabled. I'm not sure what "City Safety" refers to in that block.

Some credit goes to @ZSC100 as well. I was looking through their original post for adding passive entry. The detailed spreadsheet they posted helped me to find all of the settings for Welcome Lighting.

All the trucks I looked at were 3 or 7 but your point is very valid. I'll change it to "add 4" with an example, I like that style better but some folks have issues with hex math ;) . I'll make sure the other parameters also don't do double duty.

You didn't highlight but you also changed the 10th byte from 0 to 1. That byte is for auto relock. Just a typo? Or maybe you also did the relock mod?

Gah, sorry. I typo'd. That byte was already a 1.

This is from my original BCM file. I had not changed anything in the BCM prior to enabling Welcome Lighting.

All good, I have added to post 1. The APIM change was the only one that did double/quadruple duty. Thanks for contributing!

Ah, I just remembered this is for the APIM so I believe all you are doing here is enabling/disabling the visibility of the toggle switch in Sync. Not actually disabling DAS or Courtesy Wipe. I,e,. we are making the Welcome Light toggle visible along with the already visible Courtesy Wipe and DAS.

For example I have my welcome lighting toggled off but my value here is still a 7 because I still want the toggle to show. Hope that makes sense. I still left it as "add 4" with the "3 to 7" example just in case.
